Location, cleanliness and great value for money

Breakfast was very average

Location of the hotel to the marina was excellant. Rooms were cleaned daily.My sister had to go to a dentist and the receptionist on duty kindly drove her there. Unfortunately I cannot remember her name but she went out of her way to assist and help us.It is not ofter you get this kind of service so well done to you all.

I would like the bar to be open a bit later in the evening

First of all look for the hotel Olympus. It is not Luna Olympus. The hotel offers a great location in the centre of Valmoura which was an ideal location for us. We hired a car and drove around the Algarve. Recommend a visit to Silves and Alte with all its narrow streets and charm. The hotel is close to the marina, shops, restaurants, golf courses and the coast. All the hotel staff were welcoming and very helpful and spoke English. The breakfast had a good variety. The room size was plentiful and had sufficient cutlery and crockery if you wanted to dine in. Our room had a balcony with some views. Our room had a sofa bed in the main room which we only used as a couch. However this was not very comfortable. A safe deposit box is available at 1.5 Euro's per day (Jan 2010). Overall we had a great experience through our six day stay and would return and recommend Olympus Hotel and Valmoura.
