The reception staff are very helpful and kind. The room is basic yet cozy. Has aircon/heating. The room and bathroom is small but functional and clean. The bed and pillows are comfortable. Location is good... few minutes walk to the beach, a lot of restaurants and shops just outside the hotel and near the Carmel Market. Galileo Hotel is a small charming hotel for a short stay in central Tel Aviv.
No lift/elevator. Breakfast only consists of muffins, coffee, tea. Room is a bit dark due not enough lighting inside. I find the price expensive for a very basic stay.

Especially Room Nr. 110 is horrible. We were there 2 nights but after a heavy rain the wall got wet .... so we asked for another room. The next room was perfect (this room is Nr 105). So , if they spent some money to the renovation of room nr 110 ... it would worth more points... :)

A good, affordable hotel in a dynamic environment. Free donuts / coffee in the morning. Very kind and helpful staff at the Reception. Restaurants, shops close-by, and the beach is near too.
There is no elevator and some passageways to the room are tight.

Large clean rooms
Fabulous
Large clean rooms
Great small hotel
Right next to Carmel Market...spices, fruits, pasteries and souvenirs galore! Also close proximity to the beach.
Old City means old plumbing...sewer gas smells made bathroom stink
Proximity to city shopping and food outlets.
The advert on booking.com was unclear and did not show or describe the location. Not what I expected, not accessible by bus or taxi. Also has a bar in front, not the environment I want.
The only good thing is the area, but the location over the pub is very noisy and in general there is no isolation for noise towards outdoor or inside.
Old without charm. The owner take a price that is much to high for such a simple unpleasant hotel. Do not stay there!!! They could easily upgrade the bed, the furniture, no windows in our room only a door to the balcony with an ugly dirty curtain you can not open. Noisy air conditioning. Pay 50 shekel more and you find so many nice new hotels in the area.
Great location. Friendly enough staff, someone is at the front desk 24/7, can leave luggage there if you arrive before checkin.
It's located in a very nice area close to all the main sights and many restaurants and cafes The room is spacious and comfortable
We could hear people coming in and out of their rooms during the night
Centric location, accessible to all main attractions within the south district as well as north , and closer to the beach, the staff was super attentive and answered all questions and responded very quick to messages, beds and towel service were daily, accommodation was modest the rooms where smaller than what I specter, but quaint and good for the price, being booked last minute, but the location was essential, 24 hour concierge. Free tea/ coffee and water refill.
My room was located under a bar and close to the street where it was loud, a little difficult to sleep, ask next time to change to a quiet room.
Perfect location near the market.
Very local to Carmel Markets ,lovely bars, and good fast food joints
Didn’t like anything
The pictures on the website did not reflect the reality of the room. Tub was dirty. Towels were skimpy. Room did not meet our expectations at all
I really like that I had a mini-fridge in the room as well as a coffee maker and a small table. The personal AC unit was also great because I was able to adjust it to my liking throughout the day/night. It is great for SOLO travelers who do not plan to spend much time in their rooms. I did very much appreciate that the rooms were cleaned every day. It was nice coming back to new sheets and towels. The location is AMAZING. It really is in the middle of (and close to) so many things!. The markets are on the next block over, Nachalat Binyamin craft stores are the block over from that, and the main road that most of the attractions are off of is about a 4-minute walk. The beach is also very close. There are so many restaurants and bars/clubs in a 15 min walk radius.
The bathroom is TINY. It is difficult to even sit on the toilet because your legs are under the sink. And then above the small sink is a little shelf for you to put toiletries but that makes it hard to wash your face/brush your teeth because you can't bend your head down far enough to get to the water. And the shower is like a 3x3 box (max). Anyone larger than me (I am 5'9, 160lbs) would have a VERY difficult time in that bathroom, so I'm not sure how men handle it. Also, the part holding my shower head was broken so it kept falling off if it was adjusted JUST right. Imagine how frustrating that is in such a small place while trying not to get water everywhere. And the bathroom as a whole (the room really) needs an upgrade. the bathroom door frames were very chipped and the moistness from the bathroom is not helping with them. Also, the steam from the shower invites gnats/mosquitos so be sure to have the AC on before you start the shower.
Nice hotel for a couple days stay. Clean, central location, minutes walk to the beach and Carmel market next door... roof terrace was lovely and beds very comfortable! Lots of space and people on reception was always present! We did struggle to find restaurants although there are plenty of shops near by! We traveled during Shabbat so we didn’t get to see tel Aviv as the vibrant city it is. We got a taxi from the coach station(came from Jerusalem) to the hotel and this cost 65 NIS and then again from hotel to airport 160 NIS- the hotel organised this for us! Luggage storage and early check in! Jaffa market is a long 40 minutes walk but you can hire scooters for about £3 each way and was lots of fun!
Decor Noice from bar next door- started about half 10 till early in morning, but was so tired from day managed to fall asleep
I liked the location of the hotel which is in quite a ‘buzzy’ area. It was exactly as described. The room was small, but clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. As a solo traveller, I liked the fact that there was a twenty four hour reception. It was good value.
The rooms are upstairs and there is no lift, however the person on reception offered to help with my suitcase.
Simplesity is the best!!!
It’s ok it’s good
ask for a room with a balcony (Superior room), it's great in the morning to drink tea or coffee overlooking the street below....and also to have the door opened during the night...if you do not like the AC very comfortable bed
I think very good place to discover the city, clean rooms, reception 24hours, coffee and tea in the room.
Enough space and okay bed, good airco, little fridge, water cooker, good hair dryer, good airport service
The room was next to a construction site. The shower was very unpractical in the bath spraying everywhere, but it had a nice shower head and warm water.
If this hotel is located anywhere else in Tel Aviv it would not be worth even considering as possible accommodation. Fact that is is located near the very live area and open market is the only plus but considering that it is lacking basic hotel requirements (like sound insulation) being so close to live area (bars, restaurants, market) made is sound like all of them are in the room with you!
I would not call this place hotel as my room for example did not have window! It had balcony door but no direct light coming to the room .It is also lacking any soundproofing both from outside ( we had bar right below us with music pumping, people talking loudly - expected for outdoor area but not for inside hotel room). Room also requires a bit of updating as all looks very worn out.
The friendly staff and the fantastic location
I thought it was very overpriced for a very average hotel. I could have stayed in a 5 star luxury hotel in South Africa for the same price! This is not even a 1 star hotel.
Great location. Decent room. Good TV.
Excellent location, excellent people, clean, warm water, Excellent WiFi !!!!
A little too noisy till deep at night because of the street bar clients just outside the window. Had trouble sleeping.
Excellent location. Geula beach 5 minutes on foot.
good location, clean room,
rude staff interrogated me on arrival, made me pay an extra cash even though I paid with credit card online.
The location is great. Near Jaff town and Carmel Market and the beach. There is a lively bar downstairs. The room is small but normal for this area. The toilet is clean and functional. There is a busy bar operate by the hotel in its premise and its very popular in the otherwise quiet neigbhourhood.
The room we were assigned was one floor directly up the bar. The noise was unbearable. You won't get to sleep or enjoy TV or work until 2.45am when the bar closes. If you like a lively night life, this is the hotel. If you prefer to have a good night sleep, make sure you request for a room away from the noise (if that is possible since the receptionist told us no rooms are available).
The hotel is on a very small street, difficult to find.
Location, daily cleaning, new towel, friendly staff, beautiful view from the rooftop, great bars and restaurants
Non
A few minutes walk to the beach. Coffee, tea and chocolate muffins included at reception. Close to bars and restaurants so good if you want to be out late (but not so good for sleeping).
Very noisy at night as there are 2 busy bars outside the front of the hotel with lots of outdoor seating.
The best location who is find the Maximum proximity to places like Carmel Market, sea, Dizengoff center, Alenby, Been Yehuda and Bograshov streets. The Rooftop seating is best for evenings wine party and for Tanning in the morning.
The 110 room is VERY small, the entering door opens directly to the bed. The shower so small It can't even be turned around inside! The price for one night is very high - Low value for high price.
The hotel is in a very cool area.
Room a little bit too little
good value 4 money!!!
Location is best part of this hotel. Unless all you want to do is sleep, then don't bother. But if you want to go to the beach, if you want to party in bars, if you want to shop all over Tel Aviv...this is the place for you.
It's a basic hotel so value for money was fine but the place is not fancy. Also, there was really no place to store my clothes so I lived out of a suit case.
There was someone at reception at 1am.
There was no warm water in the shower one afternoon. The airconditioner blew directly at the bed.
Location is very central and close to the beach 24h reception and late checking possible friendly staff
No elevator Rather basic rooms but clean
Very very small room, tiny shower, what was described as a desk was more of a nightstand.
The location is very central and close to the beach. Nice rooftop.
The room is too hot, no wind. The beds are too small. The bathroom has a jacuzzi, but it doesn't work. No curtains in the bathroom, the water squirting on the floor all way around, and there is no mop in the room. The sink is located so that you can't really approach it; you have to sit on the jacuzzi edge in order to use it. No smoke detectors (or they are broken?), as our neighbors smoke all the time (we notified the concierge, but it didn't really help).
the location the room quite good
no breakfeast
Location
It’s a dump. Old dingy apartment building turned to “hotel”. Save your money and look elsewhere.
The hotel staff is great, helpfull. Hotel is Clean. However it needs a little touchup on bath, interior stuf and also with the bathroom windows which are us style and not really sealing 100% .. so the noise from the bar bellow is in your room. The staff offered ear plugs as a help for the noise issue.
If outside noise is a real issue then you have to really see what and how. But overall value for the money is great.
Central location, lively bar on ground floor, good wifi, clean room and comfortable bed, very good value in expensive Tel Aviv.
Bar on ground floor.
This hotel is all about its location which is just perfect. The roof terrace is a cool place to unwind at night.
We knew before we went that because it is in a hipster bustling area with bars and restaurants that 'peace and quiet' is not guaranteed and the area is quite noisy. No complaint on this front but you should be aware that there is a lot going on nearby.
Location is good. Room was small but ok for me. Soap and shampoo were provided. There was a hair dryer.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The walls are paper thin and I got very little sleep due to hearing the people in the next room talking, coughing and on the phone until after 2.30am. The room was clean but draughty and cold at night with thin curtains that let the light in very early. The bathroom was clean but very tatty with lots of cracks in the fixtures and fittings. I didn't think it was worth the money.
the location of the hotel was really central, overall it's a traditional hotel a bit old fashioned though. Quiet hotel with bath tub and VERY helpful service 24hours helping
the old style of the hotel and the fact that there was no breakfast.
Very good location, friendly staff, beautiful design.
A bit expensive
The staff is very friendly. And the location is very good; you can visit Tel Aviv on foot.
Too noisy, especially during the night. There is no elevator to the luggage. But is very well located to enjoy Tel Aviv.
The staff was wonderful and is by far the best thing about the property. The person at the reception was kind, forthcoming and helpful. The hotel is close to a beach, which is nice, and the nearby boulevard is well served by public transport.
The place is noisy. The insulation is limited, even if you do not have a window towards the bar downstairs.
Location as there were many good restaurants and bars around and you can walk pretty much everywhere from there if you like walking. The AC was very good so it was warm in the room even during cold winter period. The carpets in the room have a cozy feeling.
There seemed to be some problem with hot water, but it was reappearing each time we asked about it. At least our twin room was rather small.
Great localisation A lot of pubs and restaurants Nice and helpful staff
Bed was comfortable
Staff were all so nice and helpful. Amazing location Great Jacuzzi. Nice balcony
The location is very central and very interesting: close to several bus stations, to the Mediterranean Sea, and to the Carmel Market. The Hotel is clean. The hotel staff are very friendly and happy to help with further information. The roof terrace is nice to sit there in the morning.
There is a hot water dispenser in the lobby, but no coffee machine. The rooms are very small - there are no tables or chairs.
Great location. Very central. Short walk to beach and close to most busses.
A bit noisy. Especially early morning.
Location, close to the market, Jaffa, shops. Nice staff. Just perfect :)
was good it was open 24 hours at the front
No Hot Water!! Could not take a shower!! Not clean!
Decent location, 24/7 staff and muffins for breakfast
Bit old and warn

The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location is excellent: in mid many small restaurants and bars, around the corner of one of the main streets (Allenby) and Carmel Market, about 10 minutes walking distance to the beach. I actually walked everywhere: Rothschild Avenue, Art Museum, Jaffa... The bed was very comfortable. Room and bathroom were kept very clean. No stress from housekeeping: I could sleep in when I liked. Electric outlets by the bed and the door, no crawling under desks or whatever.
If you are looking for some fancy-schmancy designer hotel, you are in the wrong place. Apart from the very comfortable bed, the furniture is basic. There is a bar below, so there is some noise. Might be a problem in the summer...but then you would have the A/C on and the window closed. There is no elevator.
Very helpful staff
Location - a little difficult to find at the first go and no lobby! Especially if you have friends coming over to meet you!
