Hotel-Restaurant Seegarten-Marina

We loved the view of the Thunersee, mountains and Spiez city. The restaurant food was delicious and the waitress we had for both dinner and breakfast was so pleasant! We loved the peace and serenity of the hotel, our balcony, plus enjoyed walking to the Castle and the town.

Yes, a friend had emailed us about getting together after we left Spiez and asked the hotel to give us the email. She even telephoned to the hotel from Zurich asking them to be sure to give us the printed email. They did print it and left it in our room box at the front desk. We noticed the paper in the box at checkout the next day, but no one even mentioned the message to us nor gave us the message that day or the day before. If we hadn't looked up and noticed it, we would have left the hotel without the information we needed. They saw us continually at breakfast and in the lobby, but didn't leave us a note or say anything about our having received a message.

Very well equipped room for a 3-star hotel. The hotel was full and so there was quite a lot of extraneous noise - loud conversations in the corridor late at night. This is frequently experienced in hotels in German Switzerland. The very busy restaurant serves fine meals but I regret the absence of the Bircher meusli at breakfast time.

I liked location and the atmosphere in the hotel.

The price in my opinion is excessive.
