The room was surprisingly large and comfortable. It was extremely clean and well-kept. I found the breakfast to offer hot items, comfort foods and healthy choices -even for those with gluten-intolerance! The staff was helpful and the one request I had was met quickly and with courtesy. Nothing - it was just fine for me and my group!
The only thing I liked was the bed. It was very comfortable to sleep in. This hotel felt like a jail cell. I thought that the pictures on the website were misleading. I felt like the hotel staff was not attentive to the needs of the guest. I will never stay here again.
The staff was friendly and helpful...good breakfast!
A bit loud.
Clean room and a professional staff
Room was very well equipped and comfortable for the price. Breakfast preparation was bad for the price but a staff member did suggest I go to the local IHOP instead. Bad end of town, don't leave valuables in vehicles.
The staff was nice and welcoming. The rooms weren't too clean. I received 3 calls from the staff, including 1 at 10:30pm. Not sure why, I didn't answer.
The staff were extremely helpful. The restaurant courtyard is lovely. The walls are thin, so it was not quiet in the room.
Close to airport. Nice staff Not enough shuttles later at night. Came in at 11 had to wait 3 shuttles with 81 yr old in wheel chair. No luggage people jump in before we could get luggage loaded. 3rd time my uncle had enough and we got on van. Waited almost 1.5 hrs to get to hotel. Once there though we had reservation but hotel was over booked but the staff was very helpful and got us room at Ramada next door. Great staff poor scheduling
I was in Charlotte for a conference and stayed at the Clarion. My stay was great. The desk clerks and manager were all nice and accommodating. I was due to check out at 11:00 a.m., but my conference exceeded the allotted time. The people at Clarion allowed me a 1:00 p.m. check out because I was not able to get back to chaeck out on time. I did appreciate the extra effort they took without charging me for an additional day. Great customer service!!!!
Clean, being renovated, nice room, hotel security, very friendly staff. Why did it have to be in the middle of the gentleman's club district. Makes you wonder if rooms are rented by the hour. Everything is about location, and if you want to go to the strip club, this is the place for you....Not for myself and my family.
Restaurant was only a pub/bar. Great bartender and "cook". Okay for the business traveler stuck at the airport, but not for a family in the area. Good staff. Poor management.
The hotel was clean. It was very noisy at night, they did little to nothing to make sure rooms were quiet at night time. It is in front of a Streapers Club, which means constant fights and loud music at night. There is a bar at the hotel that puts the music so loud your windows vibrate. The Heating unit is a small heater with no thermostat, it is really loud, and you have to get up in the middle of the night to turn it off or you will cook. The bathroom had a bathroom fan that could not be turned off, so there was a constant loud noise and a freezing breeze. I would not recommend this to any family or anybody wishing to rest at night.
Friendly fron desk staff Stale odor in the room Only one pack of decaf coffee Very small bathroom Repairs poorly done Bracket for the iron fell out of the wall Furniture in the room old and badly worn out (desk, chair) Did not like being literally across the parking lot from a strip club
Very comfortable bed and linens No breakfast
Well worth the price. Small but clean.
Clean rooms. Maid staff was very pleasant and cheerful. Front desk attendant was very rude and had an attitude when I asked questions. He left me waiting to check-in to help someone else who walked up after me.
This hotel met my needs since my flight was cancelled. It's great just for one night to sleep. If you're looking for something extremely nice, this isn't the way to go. But for me, it was a good stay.
Quiet very friendly staff Booked 2 rooms that were to have a refrigerator and microwave neither did they also only give 1 key per room which made it difficult to get into other room where children were also booked a smoking and they failed to inform us that all rooms were not smoking
Older building but still clean. Friendly staff. Responsive heating/cooling unit. Spacious room for one nonsmoking king. Most of the rooms have exterior doors. Ours on the third floor did not, which i liked. Great value for so little cost.
Very comfortable beds, Not much noise other than airplanes, which isn't bad either. No fridge or microwave in my room but that wasn't a deal breaker for me.
very dirty pathways, doorways, carpets, etc. room sheets were clean, but not much else….
The fact that my children were able to be comfortable and play on the floor with out getting sick The fact that I could not use my debit card that I reserved my room with and I had to put 100 Cash deposit
The staff is aces, the room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was great. I loved the fact I was able to save $20 on cab fare by using the shuttle to go to the laundromat. I was very close giving a four star review with the reasons I didn't listed below. The pool being closes by Labor Day Weekend was a royal bummer. The float in the toilet got stuck twice which resulted in an overflow.
I didn't like anything about it. It was the worst place I've ever stayed. I didn't like the hotel period it was run down. It was as if the place was for drug dealers and hookers.
Overall my stay was fine. I chose this room because I needed a refrigerator and microwave as I ate my meals there. The bed and shower were fine. Choices on the TV adequate.
Design, ambiance, and yes even the shower. Pillows! Horrible pillows ... no support ... wasn't comfortable at all.
Decor Restaurant was a joke. Empty and expensive. Not a great value
Comfortable linens and an attentive staff highlighted our quick get-away weekend to this Queen City of the mid-Atlantic. It was a plant 15-minute stroll to the uptown area along quite, tree-lined streets. We expected queen and king-sized beds. We were given a room with two full-sized beds and ill-fitted sheets. The lighting was not all in working order, and my phone failed to charge overnight, leaving me curious about the staff electrician. There was no door in the walk-in shower, and the overspray nearly caused a slip on the floor of the cramped bath. It was a week after the DST time change, but the clock hadn't been touched. None of these issues was show-stopping, but noteworthy as a collection of caveats.
The hotel overall was nice. Quiet great location, nice atmosphere.staff was very friendly bed super comfortable! The parts I didn't like, parking in their garage was $25 a day, which is ridiculous, if I had not parked elsewhere it would have been an extra $75! The other thing as the bathrooms were updated which was great except you have to climb completely into the tub to turn the water on and because of no shower curtain design water gets everywhetr
Every one that worked te hotel was very polite and helpful
Location The parking situation was terrible and the the quote of $8.00 on your sight is incorrect - its more like $10.00/day. This part was ridiculous and very much unexpected
The location was convienent and the staff was very pleasant Very poor lighting!
the modern design & location the restaurant was closed for remodeling and no room service or breakfast available. was not told this when booking. It changed all of our plans and I don't think we got full value for our money.
Value equation. A little bit far from the center of the city.
Place and confort poor breakfast. $10 for a lousy continental breakfast is too much. Similar hotels offer Internet for free
Room was adequate Room was clean Breakfast food was good Staff friendly and available Heating/cooling system worked well Bar soap - face and bath - didn't seem quite up to par with other hotels and if this is the only "issue" no problem, but it didn't lather or have a pleasant smell. I did appreciate the smaller size so there would not be so much waste.
The only problem I had was low water pressure. Everything else was good.
Clean, roomy, easy access from the Airport. No crib or pack and play offered. Really difficult with a 1 year old.
I liked having a refrigerator and microwave in the room too near to the office where we heard phones ringing all night
It was a convenient location for us and the others we were traveling with.' This hotel is in need of either a good cleaning or replacing of several things, carpet, chairs. the bathroom floor was sticky.
I like the way they took the breakfast bar at 9:25 compared to the posting for 10:00 She offered me a bowl of cereal Witch was bull The qoute of 56.00 for the room and the full price was 75.00 What a scam
breakfast, rooms and most of the staff Check-in person rather unpleasant but all others were terrific.
I like convenience to highways an breakfast bar. Light was out. Water in toilet was permanently running. Wasn't sleep well with noise. No one even fixed problems after complaints.
The hotel was pretty good value for the money though not in a great location. The room was large and very clean. Very good Mexican restaurant within walking distance.
Cheap, last minute hotel. Located close to downtown and light rail Strong cleaning solution smell, toilet seat broken, outdated furnishings.
Ruth was very kind and looked after me well particularly as my luggage didn;t turn up until later on that nite the walls r v thin between the rooms as i cud hear the couples conversation next door
The hotel maintaince was painting our door when we arrived and told us to be careful. The fridge was making awful noise so my husband finally unplugged it. They did offer us a different room but it was already late.
The gum The room ... The bell hops
My husband and I decided to book a room somewhat last minute on a holiday weekend. It was our 6th wedding anniversary & we were looking for something a little different than the past years celebrations. The first night, we were on the 5th floor, in a comfortable room with nice amenities. The next day, we decided to book another night & had no problems doing so very easily. My husband spoke to an employee in the lobby about possibly switching rooms so that we could see the fireworks. While we couldn't get a room on the side of the building where they shot off the city's fireworks, we got a great room on the other side of the building where we could watch all the fireworks on the horizon going off for hours. They gave us a sweet gift bag with snacks & since we were moved to the top floor, we also got access to the executive lounge, where we had access to free breakfast & all the other amenities offered there. It was great & we really appreciate all the help from the staff for making that possible. While we had one night of parking comped, the $20 a night parking fee seems a little steep to me. We live in a small town where there aren't even meters for parking, so that's a bit of an adjustment.
Close proximity to restaurants and sites, Long wait to check-in
Was just passing through NC and needed a nice hotel gor decent price and I was amazed at the deal I got on a hotel that in my book should be 7 stars!!! Rooms.were spacious and modern, beds and pillows are very comfy, batrhoom very cool!!!
The staff was so welcoming and courteous we felt very much at home the minute we arrived! No late dining in hotel. However there were LOTS of great places within 2 blocks
It was very clean secure and had a friendly staff Parking deck was 6 foot eight inches and had to pay twenty dollars to park my van overnight
How clean and friendly everyone was
Location, price Air conditioning in room couldn't get below 72 degrees
Horrible service. Ridiculous terms and rules. Being charged over $200 for a false noise complaint, TWICE. Not even informing us about the charge whatsoever. Really selfish staff.
The Hilton was upscale and a great location right in the downtown area. Very close to the Epicenter, light rail and convention center, and central to all downtown has to offer. Also getting free internet service (which I wasn't expecting) was a nice perk. Only the bar part of the restaurant seemed to be open, never saw the actual hotel restaurant open for service.
The staff was great. Always friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for our needs (we were attending an event at the convention center). The executive lounge was an excellent place for coffee & breakfast with a nice view of Charlotte. Our A/C in the room did not work. We called the front desk and they sent a gentlemen up to fix it. He came in, changed the filter, told us it was working now and left. However, the room never cooled down and I called down again. Unfortunately, we had left the "do not disturb" sign on the door from that morning and the technician was not permitted to enter the room. (we had left for the evening) So the air conditioning was never repaired and the only downside to our stay was a very hot room.
Charlotte is a fun city. The staff were all awesome and super friendly.
I loved the amenities, pool table, indoor pool, the view. We took 2 teens ( 17 yr) olds and Aloft was upbeat and fun and the staff was accommodating! We just loved it. Beds comfortable, rooms clean! Parking was a little weird. We ended up valeting for $20 a day and then of course the gratuity every time we used the car. It was just an expense of the trip. I think it's a Charlotte thing, not an Aloft thing.
Great location Kind of felt like a hipster hostile, not very clean, mediocre at best
I love aloft hotels. I love the location!! Perfect area!! It was not as clean as other aloft I stayed at.
Aloft gives you a luxury hotel feel without a stuffy feeling. Polite staff, nice rooms, complimentary wifi all round out for a nice stay. No signage on the exterior of the building to notate where the hotel is located. Aloft is actually on the fifth floor of EpiCenter (a dining/shipping/club district) so unless you researched that (I only grabbed the address and put it in GPS) you will be driving around in circles trying to locate it. Parking is also not clearly noted, nor is the valet option.
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, assistedwith everything requested immediately and professionally. Hotel reservation was for two queen beds, received one queen bed. Parking garage was full with no reserved spots for hotel guests causing me to spend half the hotel rooms cost just to park my car for the night. Requested she mattress which staff promptly sent up, minus any blankets so had to request that to show up. Room must of been right over club because we could feel every bass hit until 230 I'm the morning. After the club let out you every for truck passing by felt like it was in your room from how loud it was. The bathroom was a handicapped accessible style and the hand held sprayer was dirty with black marks and crud ask sounds the mount connecting it to the shower. I've stayed at aloft before and never had these issues I'm guessing it's dependent on which section of the hotel you get. But this stay will have me seriously considering the extra 30 bucks to stay at omni across the st.
Location They do not have an ice machine (bags available in the lobby), limited amenities, ac did not work properly, elevator takes forever
Great place to stay when your out for the night
If you don't know anything about Charlotte, you'll probably get lost trying to find parking and understanding the elevators. I tried to check in at 1p but no rooms were clean, so I had to roam around for over an hour in the heat. They said they would call when a room was clean, never got it. At 230p I went back and they said they had a room. The basic room is kinda small, nowhere to put your clothes as in a dresser. Location is at the EpiCentre which is in walking distance to all the bars, restaurants, etc. Wish the pool was on the rooftop. I would stay afain, but in a bigger room. Oh yea, found trash in the bed too uggghh!! Parking
Location was great and in walking distance to all activities
Nice place and location. Comfortable room Why did the cleaning staff try to barge into our room repeatedly starting at 8 in the morning? Seriously tried to come into room 3 hours before checkout, then tried two more times before 11am. Ridiculous.
Every staff member was personable and friendly. Quick responses to any question/issue. Nothing ever runs perfectly but it's a great company that responds and works to improve in the future. Their GM should be proud. No much. Restaurant menu could use more vegetables but that's just me.
Every representative of the hotel we encountered was awesome. They went above and beyond their duty to provide outstanding customer service. So impressed!
Good location but there are other hotels close by. The walls were incredibly thin. Staff was not helpful. Additional $18 to park on top of the room cost.
The rooms were nice and clean and they had a shuttle to take you places for free instead of u driving That u had to pay$18 for parking
Close enough to downtown and the stadium to be walking distance
The room and the entire hotel were well cleaned and comfortable. Breakfast was good! Older facilities. There were bubbles in the drywall that hadn't been properly repaired, the faucet set screw had been replaced with a drywall screw that didn't fit, the carpet is nearing the end of it's life.
The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. Even with the renovations that were going on it was quiet.
The service was great and the staff was so nice and helpful the entire hotel was clean and great
Smooth, problem-free, comfortable weekend stay No complaints
Lovely clean room. Neighbors were loud and did keep me awake part of the night.
It really was as clean as they said it was. The included breakfast buffet was stocked, fresh, tasty and varied. Cookies available at check-in! Woo Hoo! It's just a little thing but it sure was nice. I really had to think hard about anything I didn't like. The Front Desk didn't have access to the kitchen to refill coffee amenities, like cream and sugar, after hours. They ran out by 10:00 PM and I had to leave my group and run up to my room to put cream in my coffee that I got from the kiosk in the lobby. It wasn't a big deal to me but it might be to someone who had a bad night.
I like the location didnt like the parking situation
The only thing I hated was the parking situation
It was walking distance from my daughter Extremely loud housekeeping in the halls by 9:00am. Had difficulty getting them to clean our room.
Proximity to downtown and event venues; price; beds were comfortable; rooms were clean; front office staff were friendly and efficient; parking was easy; great environment overall housekeeping didn't clean room until after 4pm and never left enough towels for our family of 4; door latch did not work properly
My hotel room only contained a pull-out couch-- no bed! I was not aware that this was what I was renting when I reserved the room.
Got stranded at the airport and needed a place ro stay for a night. Booked a king bed and got two doubles beds. But this was partly our fault because we need to check in so early. The staff did everything they could for us. Within walking distance to some great food spots. price was high what felt like out dated accommodations. The restaurant was way too expensive. Don't ask the cleaning staff anything... they won't understand you. Pool was ok. Gym was small.
The cleaning staff was extremely loud in the morning. The walls were also paper thin and could hear other people's conversations almost word for word.
Excellent hotel in every way, except was a little too expensive. Price was too high .
It was close to Bank of America Stadium. At check in we were charged for parking when I clearly showed them that it was to be included in my reservation. They said since I booked with a third party, there was no guarantee that the amenities I paid for would be honored by the property. REALLY??? They also knew we were a party of 3 and clearly needed 2 double beds but put us in a king with a roll away. Not overly pleased with the overall experience at check in.
Beds Hotel staff was uptight
The check in girl was friendly. The room was well used and in poor shape. The refrigerator door would not stay closed. The bed was so worn out my wife and I kept sinking into the black hole in the middle. Made for a very uncomfortable sleep.
Updated TVs Stronger Breakfast Smokey Smell No Printer No Exercise Room Cigarette burns in bedding Inattentive Staff
Located near interstate. The staff was extremely inattentive & rude. The front desk attendants acted as though it was a huge burden to even greet guests. When they had to interact with guests the staff instantly got attitudes and acted like the guests were an interruption to their day. Even for simple tasks such as checking in or out. The significantly smaller room than pictured was less than mediocre, at best. There was an unbelieveable amount of cigarettes burns on the furniture and the bedding. Only 2 electrical outlets worked in the entire room. The TV & the alarm clock was broken. The sheets on the bed were dingy & stained. The lock on the door was barely attached anymore. The floors were disgusting, as was the bathroom shower The wall trimming was completely detached from the walls in the bedroom and bathroom. Lastly, in the hallways of the floor I stayed on there was a very loud and a very public domestic dispute that occurred. And not one single hotel official came to check on the incident! There were literal screams for Help throughout the hallways. The staff was definitely informed & yet, they did nothing. The absolute worst hotel experience of my life!!
I liked that there was NOT A FLOOD or that we had ELECTRICITY. That's about it The place smelled of smoke and other foul odors. The whole place. It was in a bad area of town. Beds were uncomfortable. Bathroom was old and hard to use. Would Never stay here again
The rooms are so small. Front lobby looks more like a crack house. Worn out sofas that I would not want to sit on in fear of bugs. Front desk spent more time on the phone then he did in checking me in. Gave me the room key and never said thank you or enjoy your stay. I took the key and said thank you to him. Al I heard was crickets from him.
I really liked how close it was to the airport and other food locations. The staff was unbelievably accommodating, specifically the shuttle driver Tim and the desk clerk Karol! They helped me find a delicious bbq place while i was laid over. Even offered to drive me there if there were not airport pickups, unfortunately there was. It's not the nicest hotel but it has 3 perks. AC worked well, water pressure was great, and it was close to the hotel with a free shuttle. The facilities were not very well maintained. Lots of scuff marks on the paint and general wear and tare was evident everywhere.
Nothing at all. I went to the airport, sleeping in s chair at the airport was better than this place. It was horrible. I think it's funny they have a rewards program, I really doubt anyone uses this chain twice. Upon arriving, I bothered the front desk girl, I blocked her view of the television. The entire time checking in, she didn't speak to me or get up from her chair. The room was gross. By the desk, there was food on the wall from the previous guest, nobody cleaned up. The AC unit was too old and loud to have on while I watched tv or spoke on the telephone. Parts of the AC were laying on the floor. Menus and literature were soaking in the standing liquid that was in the desk. The toilet was not bolted to the floor, and rocked back and forth, you could hear water sloshing around, horrible odor in the bathroom. I would guess the seal is broken and that's raw sewer fumes. The shower was filthy and had been patched with something. I decided to not shower, I am sure I was cleaner than the shower. There were to soap or shampoo in the room either, and I didn't feel like asking Miss Personality at the front desk. There were pubic hairs on the bedspread and pillow case. So gross. I just went back to the airport, I wanted to sleep in a cleaner chair in a public airport terminal rather than try to rest at Microtel. On a positive note, the late shift girl there greeted me. That was the only positive thing I can say. If you are looking for a terrifying ride with a grumpy shuttle bus driver, this is your place.
The location was close to airport Shuttle was not labeled with hotel name, desk clerk was rude when calling
I liked the price for the location You get what you pay for. It was what a $40 a night hotel should be.
Phone was flashing constantly, cord was detached and broken. Breakfast was below average, cheap powdered cream for coffee, poor selection. Noise from other guests. Poor breakfast,
Breakfast Not. Clean room had hole in the wall above the bed the TV did not work
Location to the airport Very old building in need of much repair and renovation. Seems more like an apartment building with people staying long term. 3 TV channels, lumpy bed, poor a/c and a dirty bath tub. 2 Police cars were outside on two different occasions just a mess simply a mess......never again will I stay here.
Good decor, breakfast was great, beds were comfortable and the shower was amazing. They had fresh lemonade at the check in 24/7. Coffee and Tea were always available as well. Pool was closed on Memorial Day weekend?!? No mention of it was given to me and it was one of the main reasons I chose the hotel.
The shuttle was good Well it is in a very run down part of Charlotte there was an hr long helicopter police chase outside the hotel and several you ladies that appeared to be working not just there to sleep who frequently were outside smoking. Just overall a very rundown hotel no bath tub just a shower! Not kids programming on the tv.
Proximity to airport Room was clean, with the exception of some random objects (springs, screws) Desk staff were friendly, polite, and competent The room was tiny and loud, pillows were small and lumpy, air system wouldn't stay on to provide white noise. Hospitality staff walked into the room at 9 am while I was in the shower. All things considered, the room was overpriced.
Lg tv in room Quoted $74 online, booked it, and then when I got to the hotel they charged me $109. I showed them my confirmation email, and was told it didn't matter, it was being done by corporate.
I loved the cleanliness of the hotel! Beds were very comfortable and clean. The hotel is only about a 10 minute drive to downtown Charlotte, and there are plenty of good restaurants to choose from withing driving distance. We were a group of women, and I felt very safe in this area. Also, I had two separate reservations for a two night stay. We were supposed to check- out, then check back in to switch rooms. Well, I asked the nice older gentleman if we could just stay in the same room (even though we weren't supposed to b/c we booked through a 3rd party,) but he managed to work it out so we could stay in our room. Talk about going above and beyond! For the price and the value (clean rooms, breakfast, free wifi etc.,) Its worth the price. Next time I'm in Charlotte, I won't hesitate to stay here!!!! I called for extra towels and I was greeted with an irritated voice that said "hello!" You would have thought I was calling her house in the middle of the night playing phone tag! She said she would bring some, but after about 20 minutes of waiting, still no towels. No big deal. We left, went to dinner, and before returning to our room, stopped by the front desk where the kind gentleman asked "how many?" and in seconds, returned with warm fluffy towels! We did this on both nights of our stay and it was no problem.
The bed was very comfortable. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitly stay here again!!
I liked the layout of the room. The design was nice but the bathroom really sucked. The bathroom was tiny.
I loved the room. It had a beautiful set up and the removable shower head was great. It was nice to have a mini fridge for storage and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Breakfast was generic but sufficient if you wanted to save money and buy lunch and dinner later. When my partner and I first arrived the receptionist was on the phone laughing and giggling to who ever was on the other line. We were only second in line but had to wait at least 15 minutes for service. The other receptionist was servicing another family and was quickly on the phone after speaking with them. In came another receptionist reprimanding her co-workers in front of everyone in the lobby. Very unprofessional! After our 15 minute wait we get to the receptionist only to find out that even though we had a reservation we would have to wait another 15 to 30 minutes to get the room we wanted! After driving 11 hours to North Carolina, that isn't what you want to hear. So we took the room initially offered due to being exhausted. We stayed at the Hyatt house a few months back and preferred that one much much better. It got 5 stars across the board! This airport Hyatt had a small closet, leaving at least half of my dress to rest onto the floor
Great staff and service--everyone was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean and breakfast was enjoyable. The location was very convenient and the area/neighborhood was peaceful, clean and serene. There was a group of people on our floor that made a ton of noise one night as they came in and out of their rooms to visit each other across the hall. Honestly it felt like we were staying in a college dormitory. While I know that this is not necessarily the fault of the hotel, the noise carried heavily into our room during bedtime for our young son. It went on for an hour and was just miserable. We called down to the lobby to see if they could address it but, at 8pm, I'm not sure what they could have done.
Room, staff,breakfast all great
Very friendly staff Large comfortable rooms Complimentary hot breakfast Starbucks in lobby Free internet Very thoughtful design
The staff were very helpful Nothing
The rooms don't come with a microwave.
Clean and very friendly staff. Business center out of order.
the staff is very friendly and helpful. the room exceeded expectation - bathroom is updated nicely and the bed was very comfortable. I didn't hear anything during my stay that would have kept me up. close proximity to uptown if that's what you are in town for. no complaints
Staff was very friendly. Starbucks on site Short-staffed housekeeping
