Ssaw Boutique Hotel Shanghai Bund

Our stay was great, very good breakfasts, free 'midnight sncak' from 10 PM also very tasty, rooms very spacious & clean, nice view. We were allowed to check in at 8 AM without additional fee! Perfect localization, close to People's Square, Yuyuan Garden, Bund, minutes walk to metro station.

Staff was very nice and helpful, answered all of our questions and helped us research restaurants nearby and constantly helped us check on our flight status.

We stayed at the hotel during the corona virus outbreak and the staff did everything they could to make us comfortable during this difficult time. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast had a lot of options and it was delicious. If one day I go back to shanghai I would definitely stay at SSAW hotel again

Location is very good. 3-5 mins walk from metro station. The room is big, clean and comfortable Breakfast is very good. So many choices. Staff can speak english and very helpful

The lighting in every lobby before we enter our rooms. I think it is a bit dark. The main entrance of the hotel, is a bit difficult to bring big luggage.

They were extremely kind and let us check in for no extra cost at 08AM. We were extremely tired after an overnight flight and the first day sleep changed our entire vacation mood, for the good ofcourse. The sleep quality is very good (9/10 at least). The bed is comfortable, there is very little humming from the nearby main boulevard - you won't notice it, the linen is qualitative, and you get 2 very comfy pillows for each of you. Overall, the sleep quality is better than in most hotels. The position is very good, is within walking distance of quite a few tourist objectives. You will always quickly get a taxi if you order from the reception and this is important, as getting a taxi in Shangai is not always easy.

First night when we got there, the floors were not vacuum cleaned - still bearing some residues from previous occupants. They fixed that immediately. It was a simple mistake, we are still happy wih their services. The room has little storage space. The windows do not have thermical break point - there is a simple glass insulating you from the outside, but it's not big of an issue for a few days stay.

The rooms were exceptionally spacious and each room was different ( we had two). The breakfast was amazing and the evening snack was very unexpected and really appreciated. The little extras like the coffee machine in the room, dressing robe, slippers- all made the stay so comfortable. The complimentary coffee in the foyer was also a welcome treat at the end of a sightseeing day

Everything. The moment we got there everything was so easy. Quick check in, walk in to the room to find spacious and clean. It made our day. Local shops just around the corner for lunch and dinner and walking distance to the river side.

The staff were incredibly helpful. We stayed over New Year so my two adult sons went out to celebrate and one couldn't find his way back. When the hotel were informed, they phoned me, organised a taxi for me to pick him up and even called the club he had been at several times as he had left his phone there. The hotel has a lovely lobby as well where you can make a coffee while you wait on taxis etc. The staff also allowed us a later check out at 2pm for our sons who had to fly home later that day at no extra charge. Thank you.

The sheets on the bed are to die for. The buffet was the best breakfast we had. The service was amazing as well.

Excellent breakfast with plenty of food choices. Minibar was free and with free snacks at 10 pm to 11:30 pm which is very convenient especially since we missed dinner to watch the acrobatic show. Staff can understand English and helped us get taxis. Family room is big. The bed was soft and comfortable.

Our room was chilly on our first night. We were asking regarding the heater but the front desk didn’t understand the term and told us to turn off the aircon which turned out to be the heater. This was fixed however on our 2nd night. Since the hotel is located on the main road, vehicles can’t park in front of the hotel. We had to walk to the side street to board our tour van although this was just a short walk.

Rooms were extremely nice. Exceeded my expectations and would recommend. Walking distance to Yu Garden and a great Peking Duck restaurant near by.

The breakfast buffet hits almost every taste preference and is fairly tasty across the board. The room was a perfect size for a solo traveler with plenty of space.

The staff in the restaurant could be friendlier. They very rarely smile or engage in conversation with the customers. Since this is an international hotel, the selection of TV channels could include BBC, CNN, or some other international channels.

I thought the location was convenient to all of the main sites in the city. The room was comfortable. We especially liked the decor and the Asian flair. I received a massage during my visit; which was a great experience.

The gym needs updating and the massage parlor had a stale odor; otherwise it was a great experience overall. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff are really friendly and helpful. The corridor is a bit too dim for my comfort but I like the room which is spacious and clean. The housekeeping staff is great and I love coming back to a makeup room. Love the soap provided by the hotel. Breakfast and the supper is fantastic... love the noodles ... had it for 3 days in a row.

I am in love with this property. I told my husband that I wanted to take the room we stayed back home. LOL the room was beeeeeeeautiful, the bathroom was spacious and cozy. the bed..... I never slept in a bed so comfortable. I could not wait to go back to the room at the end of the day. the breakfast was delicious. their restaurante was super cozy and with many DELICIOUS options. I was very surprised that the mini fridge was included and after 10pm they offered a free snack bar. From the hotel to Yu Garden is only 13-15 min walk and to the Nanjing Road 20 min. Short walk from main points.

Excellent breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. Location was ideal - near the metro, and also a number of well known locations very easily reached on foot, e.g. The Yu Gardens just down the road, The French Concession also easily reached on foot, etc. Rooms always cleaned and everything very quiet. Comfortable beds and modern bathroom.

I had a room on the 2nd floor - so I didn't have much of a view. The window in my room didn't close properly.

the hotel is 3 minutes walk from the subway line 10 which goes directly to Hongqiao airport terminal 1 and 2 as well as to the high speed trains Hongqiao station. the buffet Western and Chinese breakfast buffet is very good.

The beds are very comfortable... Location is great . Breakfast is complete at a reasonable charge. If I ever we go back to Shanghai, would love to stay there again

The beds were the most comfortable beds we had experienced during our whole month in China. The location was excellent and close to everything, the hotel also provided a helpful guide on how to walk to nearby attractions. The breakfast was extensive and the complimentary minibar was good too.

They took two a deposit the day before check in and a further deposit when we paid on check in without at all explaining that they were taking the deposit and how/when they would be refunded.

Front desk personnel were extremely helpful with any question especially Dragen who looked after us as if we were his paremts.

The beds were extremely comfortable - best I have ever had in a hotel. Tasteful decor and the family room we booked was very spacious. Free soft drinks in the Minibar. Hotel decor had a spa like feel to it.

There was some damp patches on the walls as you came into the room and above the bathroom. Lighting was also quite dim.

Recent renovation made for a luxury hotel experience at a mid-range budget. Great breakfast!

Not a typical hotel room with just a bed. Very comfortable and loved the additional amenities. Will definitely bring my wife here in the future.

The hotel was an excellent value for the price paid. The location was perfect. It was walking distance from the bund, yu gardens, xintiandi and many other attractions. The staff was extremely helpful as well. If you're traveling on a budget (and even if not) I recommend it highly.

Персонал говорит по английски, но у меня были проблемы в общении с одной девушкой на ресепшене. Я ничего не мог понять из сказанного ей, китайский акцент перекрывал все, хотя она уверенно произносит все фразы)) Возможно это мои проблемы, но она без проблем повторяла все по 3-5 раз.

Не могу сказать, что это недостаток отеля, но яма с камнями на этажах, напротив выхода из лифта меня дико бесила)))) Ходил прямо по ним, простите. Не понял зачем в номере большую часть, у окна, занимает огромное помещение с ванной комнатой, в то время как сама спальня прижатая к душу ограничена всего лишь кроватью. Я рад, что смог бы принять ванную с видом на город, но зачем столько места под это)))

Рядом с отелем есть пара отличных недорогих баров и кафе и продовольственный магазин. Есть бесплатный ужин. Да Номера немного уже уставшие и требуют косметического ремонта, но в целом все чисто и хорошо работает. Если ещё раз буду в Шанхае - обязательно остановлюсь здесь же. Да и много писали недовольных отзывов про депозит за отель, который списывают с Карты и возвращают несразу. Эта проблема легко решается оставлением в залог наличного доллара ( или юаней, если вы будете ещё путешествовать по Китаю) мы улетали в другую страну, поэтому нам было удобно оставлять доллары. При этом персонал сам вам напомнит про возврат депозита и не отпустит вас пока вы не заберёте свои деньги, так что большое спасибо отелю и его персоналу. Все было великолепно.

· В этой гостинице мы останавливаемся уже в 3-й раз. Я люблю место, где расположена эта гостиница. 5-ть минут от метро Yuyuan Garden, Exit 4. 7 минут ходьбы до знаменитого сада Yuyuan Garden, очень красивое место и обязательное к посещению. И весь район старого Шанхая вокруг сада. В пешей доступности знаменитая Nanjing Road. 15 минут ходьбы до знаменитой набережной Bund. Хороший завтрак, как европейский, так и китайской кухни. В хорошую погоду можно завтракать на крыше, на открытом воздухе. После 22.00 в ресторане гостиницы есть небольшой перекус: типа яйца, рис, чай. Каждый день в комнате ставят 2 бутылки воды. Мини бар в комнате бесплатный ( кола, спрайт, еще какой-то напиток). Есть кофемашина. Оценить не могу, не пользовались. В принципе я очень люблю эту гостиницу. Но в этот приезд нам пытались дважды дать номер на 2- м этаже. В номере был плохой запах. Это на том же этаже, где и расположена СПА. Надо отдать должное, номер сразу поменяли на высокий этаж. И все было в порядке. Кровать, подушки, все очень удобное. Имейте ввиду, что в этом году перестали в номере давать зубные щётки, расчёску и т.д. В душевой есть мыло, шампунь и кондиционер в дозаторах.
