Gran Hotel Costa Rica, Curio Collection by Hilton

Awesome location, right in the heart of San Jose. Walking distance to the major downtown sights, like the theatres, cathedrals, and markets. The restaurant is great, and the lobby is well kept.

Rooms are run down, and not in the best condition. We had to change rooms because of bugs in the first. AC would have been nice.

Do not stay in room 414

Ok so the staff is so nice but room 414 had little to no water pressure and trickle of hot water...... I asked the front to change rooms but because they were full no possible.... So sucked it up and took Luke warm shower for two days.... Manager said he would comp a dinner at hotel eatery .... Didn't happen and no one seemed to know how it would work. Bed was comfortable location is great for San Jose . My best advice to anyone staying in Costa Rica is get out of San Jose and see the countryside unless u want to be in New York meets Tijuana

Staff is super nice Breakfast is great Bed was comfortable Location is superb although good luck finding the entrance of you drive in from airport alow 2 hrs for 10km No kidding Traffic is something out of a comic book u will understand if you see it first hand Costa Ricans in general are so nice honest and hard working people enjoy
