Минусы: They will try to make you sit through a timeshare presentation in exchange for discounts on excursions. The beach is not the white sand beach. There were lots of rocks so if you want to swim in the ocean take some water shoes

Минусы: There is no indication on any literature or any social media that this hotel goes on lockdown at 11pm every night, 20-30 people could be enjoying the evening dancing and socialising and suddenly it is turned off because it is 11pm, this is an adult hotel and we have paid a lot of money to stay here and to be entertained, 11pm is not acceptable, they have a casino with many slot machines that I have never seen being used that could be turned into a pleasant nightclub area and casino moved elsewhere

Минусы: The price was the same as the 5-star hotels 25 minutes south. My reason for staying at Villa Premier was that is was close into town. But the surrounding area kind of sucked. And Puerto Vallarta is not a super nice place and I would suggest to stay in a higher end place and venture out once a day into town.

Минусы: Service is very slow, they take 2 hours to get towels or anything you you need. They can definitely improve on service. Also they guy who was supposed to introduce us to services or things to do in the resort was more interested in selling romantic dinner and spa time. Had to question him directly to find out things to do in the resort.

Минусы: RUN AWAY, FAR AWAY WHILE YOU CAN. This place is HORRIBLE. DO NOT ever have or plan a wedding here or even book a stay here. They harass you for money from the minute you arrive until the second you leave! I have been to a TON of resorts and I have NEVER in my life experienced such terrible customer service from everyone at this resort. My husband and I came for my sister's wedding and they were treated HORRIBLY by staff! I don't even know where to begin. The wedding planner PATRICIA is TERRIBLE! She scammed them into signing a fee when they were DRUNK on their wedding day. Then they tried charging guests for day and night passes over $100 each, even though the wedding guests were already paid for in the wedding fee! I can't even make this up. We had over 100 wedding guests and they treated every single guest horribly. They left a guest outside at 4am and told them to pay $80 if they wanted to come inside. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. I have so much more to say and add to the horrid experiences we all had here, but I think this alone says it all. DO NOT book here. There are so many there beautiful resorts with delicious food to go to in the area. Again, DO NOT book this scam!

Минусы: Too much use of plastic bottles for water. Guests should be offered a re-usable water bottle that can be re-filled at water stations. Vendors on the beach - I don't mind vendors, and I live in Mexico City so I understand the hustle BUT having them standing there all day completely ruins the view (they are blocking all the view from the beach sun beds), and does not provide a good atmosphere for relaxing on the beach.

Плюсы: As always we have had a great stay. The rooms booked through booking are great and always face the exterior of the hotel. The staff are great and accommodating and always action our request for a balcony and mini fridge. All staff are friendly and helpful. Beds are amazingly comfortable and aren't your standard hotel beds and linens, they are mutch better. Morning breakfast on the rooftop with Monica is also great and offers eggs cooked to order, some local stew specialties, fresh cut fruit, cereal, coffee, juice, chilaquiles and waffles or pankakes. Thank you for making our stay memorable as always.

Минусы: There is absolutely nothing i don't like about the hotel or staff. One suggestion however would be for access to a microwave in the communal rooftop area for when the kitchen is closed. Oh and the shower heads could use an update.

Минусы: Like one of the reviewers noted, I too was placed in a room that faced the air conditioning units in the courtyard. The best outcome for this situation is that I know I would have been moved to a better room if I had asked. But I was only there one night so didn't bother.

Минусы: The people in the room next to us stayed out late and were very noisy late at night when they were coming back to their hotel room so the walls must be somewhat thin. The food at the hotel was just ok. I'm glad that we didn't book the all inclusive option for our stay because we would have been tired of the food by the end of our stay. There are plenty of delicious restaurants nearby so there is no need to eat at the hotel all the time.

Минусы: The beach is completely unusable, full of rocks which is very disappointing. The time share hounds when you get there after a long day of travel Pool bar closes at 6 but the pool is open until ten but unlit so that was a let down.

Second room was much smaller, faced the inner courtyard area. It also did not have a balcony like the first room did. It had one window which faced the inner courtyard area and another window with obscured glass to let in natural sunlight. Couldn't leave the courtyard window open for security reasons. I understand the location and "ocean smells" that occur but the room was quite musty smelling...beyond what I have ever experienced in an near-ocean hotel. A room with a balcony and window to the exterior would allow you to air the room out a bit.
The bathroom was fine, shower a bit small but it worked for our needs. Decent closet with pelnty of hangers, a shelf, and a safe. The room also had a small 3-drawer dresser but every drawer slide was broken so it took a little work to open and close them.
Overall, the location is the greatest value of this hotel. The lobby, courtyard and rooms are finished with typical spanish decor. The bed was quite comfortable and rooftop area and pool are very inviting and offer decent views of downtown and the farmers market area.

The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We had bit of a leaking A/C and they attended to it right away. We didn't use the facilities but had the option of using everything in the Hotel as well as across the street at the Los Arcos hotel.
Overall a terrific value.

This seemed like a hotel adults who want to relax would enjoy. The pool was on he rooftop.
Hotel playa Los Arcos was across the street. My friends stayed there and we wore the same wristbands so I believe you could use that pool and beach area.

For the second half we didn’t and the room was uncomfortably small and with no windows to see out of or open, it felt very claustrophobic.

Минусы: The biggest problem was some noise. There was some construction going on nearby but also street sounds that cropped up from time to time in the night and morning. I'm a heavy sleeper and was fine but my wife who's a light sleeper woke up several times. The A/C worked well but leaked a pool of water in the room. We suspect it was due to heavy rains at the time.
None of this caused us to regret our selection. It wasn't awful; just something to note.

Минусы: Air conditioning did not work for half the stay and was very uncomfortable. It wasn’t properly fixed with daily entries which was disruptive and annoying. The renovations to the building also means very early work starting at 7am in the morning.

I've stayed here before and never knew there were non-ocean facing rooms, and the website didn't make that clear. We were there one night, and when asked to be moved, they wanted $80 more. It was already over-priced and not worth the value, in my opinion.

Плюсы: The staff at Almar were wonderful. The rooms were comfortable, very clean and we had a great view of the beach. Having access to the Mantamar Beach Club was nice as we spent a lot of time at the pool. The hotel is welcoming to all but we really appreciated that Almar especially caters to LGBT couples.
Минусы: There is still construction going on around the hotel which was a little noisy but it wasn't as intrusive as some people suggested. They will try to sell you on a timeshare breakfast but our rep was very respectful and didn't push us to attend.

Минусы: This hotel is for young adults who are into the night life because you can totally hear them coming in at 3 am in the morning, drunk, yelling and banging on the doors. Because the hotel is located on a busy street with cobble street roads, you can also hear the cars/trucks VERY clearly, and if you are a light sleeper, you will not have a peaceful sleep. I booked this hotel for my family (unknowingly), and we did not fall asleep until 5 in the morning. Минусы: The staff and accommodations, I went with my parents who are senior citizens, and I even advised of this at the time of booking and asked for 1st floor rooms, however not only were we not on the 1st floor, we were not even on adjacent rooms, we were not even on the same floor. They told us they couldn’t do anything about it and that I should have notified them that we wanted adjacent rooms, on top of that I could not pay with my credit card, I had to pay cash. Using up basically all the cash I took for the trip. This was a very bad experience.

Минусы: This is not the place for someone who is well traveled. Even the most exclusive rooms are basic, No tubs, no frills. Spa is a joke, Lack of service and amenities. Pools are small and crowded with children, Beach is insanely small and rocky. Very limited lounging on the beach side. The place is covered with Timeshare families. So large parties with many screaming kids! Not the place for Honeymooners, Young singles/ couples, or a relaxing getaway. Best for a family of 5 on a budget.

The breakfast buffet was good but a little hard to negotiate the first time. I did not speak Spanish and the staff spoke enough English to cover the basics and were very nice. The pool was good and it was great fun to sit by during happy hour. The ocean view rooms are great, but I had a street view which was awesome for the people watching.

The pool is beautiful however right in the middle of everything so everyone is watching you from the restaurant and the hotel rooms. I also liked the location, it felt right inside of the culture of Puerto Vallarta, it didn't give off that resort vibe at all, if that's what you're looking for.

Минусы: The shower we had would always flood the entire bathroom, with only a thin curtain and no ledge to catch the excess water. Also, everything just felt dirty. We found a weird yellowish stain on our sheets and they always felt a little sticky. Oh and by far the worst part was all of the fleas. There were hundreds of fleas in the bed, on the floor. Everywhere. And even though the air conditioning worked, it was so loud it's hard to hear your spouse talk.

Минусы: It was advertised on their listing that wi-fi was available in all areas, which was the main reason I chose this hotel over two others. Unfortunately, some rooms didn't have any wi-fi signal and in my room I had to place my laptop close to the door to get the signal. Also, the 3pm check-in was very late for me. 12pm or 1pm is acceptable.

Плюсы: hotel Elisa is in a great location next to the old square in old town and a half a block from the beach. the rooftop terrace had a great view of the sea on one side of the terrace and a good view for the sunset. the pool is very small and only about three and a half feet deep, it took me two strokes to go from one end to another. pool water too cool for many but we found it refreshing and handy to have somewhere to cool off on the hot roof. we had an inside room that was very basic and could use some updating as in new curtains/art... some colour. no screens on window facing inside, just bars... so we didn't feel great about leaving windows open at night....a deal breaker for me in Mexico for a stay any longer than a couple of days. if I can't sleep with fresh air and open window in the tropics, I feel claustrophobic. but the room was quiet and the beds comfy. morning breakfast enjoyable with fresh fruit, buns, yogurt, cereal, juice and coffee. we enjoye our two night stay here.

We sat at the park for some and went to the hotel rooftop for the rest. Flea market in the park Saturday mornings with great food and other offerings. Wonderful views from the rooftop.

Минусы: Noise from the bar next door continued until at least 11:00 at night. We were on the third floor in room 304 and it was loud enough to keep us up. Small room with old furnishings and torn pillows, but that's what I expected from a budget hotel 1/2-block from the bay. Both pools are small and not for swimming. Only one sheet provided with bedding - no blanket. WiFi was inconsistent. We would stay again, though.

Плюсы: If you want to truly feel like you are in Mexico without any fluff than this is your place. It’s close to everything especially Pepe’s tacos and just a short walk to the boardwalk. Very Mexico for us and really the only white people there. Loved it.

Плюсы: The hotel has 4 parking spots which you have to pay for and are full most of the time. So you have to find parking out on the street (Goodluck)! The receptionists are not very nice. They cut you off and can be rude at times. She forgot to give me my ID back so after I realised it i went back down. Most of the time they are talking to eachother or the luggage helpers and they make you wait until they finish their conversation. She put my ID on the counter and didnt say anything. The restaurant staff on the other hand are super nice and helpful! Food is really good my 2yo finished her plate! That itself should say it all! & super cheap too! You have the pool outside of the restaurant and you go down a few steps and have the ocean right at your feet! The room was not super clean bathroom had a funky smell and definitely needs updating and better cleaning! It is a 10 min walk or less to El Malecon. Overall our stay was okay just the staff need to give better service and be nicer!

Плюсы: My friend and I stayed for a week at the El Pescador. It is a very clean and friendly place to stay. The view of the Bay of Banderas is awesome. The air conditioning was vital at this humid time of year and it worked well, ensuring our comfort. This basic hotel easily becomes homey because of the friendly, helpful staff and the clean, safe environment. We were within walking distance of the Malecon and all the exciting adventures there. The hotel restaurant is good but we could also walk to try other options as well. When we needed a taxi the welcomers would go whereever necessary to get it and come back to settle us in the car. There was always a welcoming, helpful person at the hotel entrance. We loved our week at the El Pescador.

Минусы: I'll admit, I was grateful about being able to massage a reservation and it confirmed quickly there after unlike another nearby hotel. However, upon checking in, I was charged another 50 pesos for some service fee that I wasn't told about when making reservation. Not big amount but it should be told before. The most deplorable thing was the commode backed up and the front desk was sending someone then. I had to go , and when I returned it had not been taken care of and I had to ask for a plunger at 3am. The service individual that showed up asking me if I was the only one in the room 3 times, WTF? There was no reasoning for this. I then had to plunge the commode myself. Unbelievable!!! He then slammed the door as he left, at 3 in the morning!!!!

Политика отеля не позволяет приглашать вообще никого и никогда, нигде об этом не написано. Бассейн переполнен орущими детьми.

The staff is very friendly and provide you with anything you need. There is an Oxxo right outside of the hotel for quick runs of snacks, water, beer. A/C in the hotel is extremely helpful!

The room was fairly clean (no pest) and the house keeper was lovely. Centerally located, no need for car/taxi.

Плюсы: The view from the balcony was stunning and you have easy access to a very popular and busy beach, you are also right in front of the Los Muertos Pier. The staff is very friendly and provide you with anything you need. There is an Oxxo right outside of the hotel for quick runs of snacks, water, beer. A/C in the hotel is extremely helpful!
Минусы: The bathroom was in need of some repairs, it doesn't have a window so it's very stale and muggy most of the time.

Плюсы: Room 116 which is way in back in north east section. My 3rd and probably last stay there. Reservation said room with balcony and river view. When i got there they said no river view rooms available and they said the same thing the next few days. Bed was hard and not level, kind of a humpback. Toilet would only flush once every 15 minutes as is takes that long for the tank to refill. Window blinds were thin so not very dark in the room at night. They updated the TV to a nice flat screen with many channels though only about 6 in english. The TV remote did not work consistently. Maid service was good. Location pretty good for the price, a block or so from ocean, few blocks from usable beach. If you are over 49 you probably would not put up with all of the little problems with this place. If you get a river view room you can overlook most of them, otherwise i would pass. Air conditioning worked OK though loud which helped drown out the street noise. The shower had very hot water to my surprise though the toilet is located basically in the shower which is odd. Ceilings are nice and high. Free wifi, in the lobby only, which is nice. The lights in the room are not very bright making it hard to shave or put on makeup. Saw a gecko in my room once.

Минусы: Our reservation was through "booking.com" for 2 adults, and we had specified a room with two separate beds. We also indicated a preference for an end or corner room on the quieter side of the Hotel. Our preference was acknowledged favorably by the Hotel. Upon arrival we paid for our two night stay with a credit card and were taken to a tiny room (I've seen closets that were bigger) intended for a single person, and with only 1 twin size bed. We pointed out that we had reserved a room for 2 adults with 2 beds. The bus boy who brought out bags up for us apologized and left to get us the keys to another room . We waited for a considerable period of time, enough so that a lady (not sure if she was a hotel employee or not) asked why we were sitting on our baggage outside this tiny room for so long. We explained,and she pointed out a room two doors down that had two beds, was an end unit, and the door was open, which she said meant that it had not been rented yet. At that point we went back to the lobby to see why the holdup, and were told that they had no two bed rooms available, and that even if they did it would be for approximately 400 pesos more than we had previously booked and paid for through "booking.com". I was perturbed but said no harm done then, just refund the money to our credit card and we will try to find another room somewhere else (not an easy task at 4PM on Saturday the week before Thanksgiving). I was then told "sorry - no refunds allowed"!!!. Arguing the point that either the Hotel or "booking.com" had screwed up and that the room was totally unsatisfactory for our needs, not to mention not what we had contracted for, did no good. Their policy was that once they had your money they were not going to refund it!. I will think seriously about using "booking.com" again in the future.

Минусы: My room had no outside windows, just shutters that opened onto the courtyard; you should ask for a room that faces the river, if possible. There was quite a lot of noise due to guests yelling in the hallways and no soundproofing.

Минусы: Wow where to start The pool was disgusting. I have never seen such a filthy pool in a hotel as what I found here. Very disappointed. Even the pool for 21 and over was full of small children. No authority to tell them that they could not be in there let alone there mothers feeding them inside the pool. That is why there is so much filth. Hotel employees must tell these people not to eat and drink in the pool. Yes there is signs in the pool area but nobody respected that. Your Hotel needs more authority. I didn't like the idea of every time they cleaned the room I was never left clean towels I had to call front desk and request towels !! People would get in the elevators dripping wet and no employee told these people not to do so. Even thou once again the signs clearly said not to get in wet !! Parking I can't believe only 5 spots but then you can have Taxi's take up the rest. Really not very convenient to your guest. Gosh my list can go on and on. I just was not happy with your facility. Really need to clean up the hotel and train your employees on how to follow directions !!!

The price is perfect for what you get. its an old building, with plenty of stairs but they keep it immaculate! there are many options in town for a budget traveler, I'll pick Hacienda any day over the others because it's very warm. and is so nice to see the locals swim with their children in the pool. Its a happy place. And if you love sitting on the balcony, watching the city live and breathe, it's perfect. *beware that there is a lot of street noise. But they know and they price it that way. Some white noise or ear plugs, and you just saved yourself hundreds of dollars. and it's 100% safe! I have been there at least 20 times and never have I had to worry about money or something being taken from my room. ***remember to TIP the maids, PLEASE. and don't give them US dollars. THINK! would you want to have to stand in line at the bank to just exchange $5 in tips money. Those ladies and men bust their behinds to ensure that your room is clean. and they will USUALLY let me check in early. Highly recommend if you're not super picky. If you can take a little street noise and you can walk some stairs. You will be happy!

Минусы: The hotel is in poor repair. Staff we’re banging on doors to change locks from a key to a card entry. We came back to the property to find our door wide open. The air conditioning was poor. The shower had poor water pressure. The windows at the property were very old and paint was chipping off. The staff were not helpful, if you didn’t speak Spanish, you were an inconvenience. There are no telephones in the room. There is only WiFi available in the lobby.

Плюсы: The location is great, pretty much right on the beach... I would opt for an ocean view room. Our view was amazing
Минусы: The Wifi was not working (We were lucky our data plan came in handy) and the elevator is SUPER slow but we took the stairs. Other than that, it needs some TLC but is a good value for the location

Room was extremely clean.
Hallways were dark.

No dresser in my room to unpack-had to live out of my suitcase.

Минусы: first room had view of couples bedroom - they liked to keep their curtains open.
after paying for "upgrade" got a smaller room with small balcony. the room had no towels, no light bulbs, no blankets. the hairdryer was so broken it could have electrocuted someone. permanent stains on towels, sheets, blankets and bedspread. no cups or glasses. no coffee maker. shower drain and toilet drain were clogged.
pools were very small and all surrounded by buildings.
highly not recommended.

Минусы: Water went out till afternoon 3 days out of 7 due to repairs and there was no compensation for the huge inconvenience. I requested an explanation from the staff and they said the general manager would contact me, which he never did. The staff was not courteous at all. Bad Service, Bad Facilities. I will not be staying at this hotel again.
