The basic positive point of this hotel is its position opposite the beach with a swimming pool overlooking the ocean in spite of the fact that to go to the beach one is hampered every minute by the locals trying to sell you something without leaving sp apart from going into the ocean not exactly a beach to lie on.
As a hotel owner in France the negativity of this hotel is that it is not run or managed by anyone capable and no one has any idea how to run a hotel. They were incapable of finding the fact that months before arriving they had debited my visa card for the complete amount.......No internet in the room to work...The only positive and excellent guy was Mr SIFA , in charge of the IT department who was able to let me have a decent internet to work although it stopped every evening and had to be reset every day which took a long time so about 80% of my time there was trying to get internet to work. I was allowed a day's refund but it took 2 hours to get and the only way was to say that I would call the police as they had no idea...I was in the Bureau de change section and whilst I was waiting there for all the issues above there were many guests who wanted to exchange dollars/euros etc for Kenyan shillings and they were not able to do it.!!!! As for everything else it was better to do it one self - getting new towels every morning, getting new bottles of water every morning....basically no main person to be in charge of the cleaning staff and although messages were taken at the reception nothing happened. My suggestion as a hotel owner is for the owner or director to get a person in charge of the admin section, someone in charge of finance, someone in charge of customer service etc to at least try and get things to work. with people who have hotel education or experience and not people who listen but have no idea.....With my 20 years as a hotel owner the only person there was MR SIFAS and the manger should double his salary and give him more responsibility.. My other negativity is the really high expense of everything in this hotel - room, meals etc.
Swimming pool and the beach
Old mosquito net, too much mosquito in the room, no working A/C, pool food quality,...
The grounds are very well kept, good swimming pool and bar areas and private beach
A lot of the staff try to swindle money guests from asking you not to pay laundry at the cashier. The rooms do not have a "do not disturb sign"hence there is a lot of disturbance from housekeeping knocking as early as 8 o weekend
