Плюсы: Staff, Art, Location, Breakfast. It is hard to not smile when you walk around the hotel. It is a destination.
Минусы: With such a great location come a little more noise than some would like. We were aware of this and were not annoyed by it. It is not overwhelming or a distraction. However, you will know that you are on a major street in a major international city.

Плюсы: The hotel is a real gem in the historical centre of Cape Town with a beautiful central courtyard where breakfast is served under the oldest productive grape vine in the southern hemisphere! The staff are very freindly and made me feel welcome.

Плюсы: The staff were amazing! So helpful and kind and made us feel very welcome. The rooms were stunning and the hotel is very well located in cape town particularly for food. The breakfast is great and the hotel has a very charming boutique feel to it.
Минусы: The only issue we had was that the windows didn't block out some of the noise from the street but that was our only negative. Everything else was perfect.

Плюсы: Great location near lots within walking distance of many good restaurants and tourist sites. Super-friendly staff. Large room with gigantic bathroom, great toiletries and robe, and excellent wifi. Great breakfast that includes not just continental items but a la carte items that are included in the daily rate.
Минусы: On a Sunday evening the neighborhood was a bit deserted and I encountered some homeless people around but this is not so different from other cities I've visited.

Плюсы: This is a beautifully restored hotel in a great location for exploring Cape Town. The room was a good size with a comfy bed and large bathroom. Breakfast in the hotel was really good with a choice of cooked items and continental buffet which could be enjoyed outside under South Africa's oldest grapevine. The staff were friendly and accommodating and looked after us very well during our stay. The hotel is good value and if we returned to Cape Town we would definitely stay here again.

Плюсы: This gorgeous boutique property in Cape Town's CBD provides everything a traveler would want while visiting CT - perfect location, amazing rooms and service that is above and beyond!
The staff here is amazing. The airline lost my luggage and they went out of their way to locate it and when it arrived water-logged, arranged for cleaning. They anticipated my every need, often before I did. This is not only a stand-out hotel in Cape Town, it is one of the best in the world!

Плюсы: A very luxurious hotel / villa with an amazing breakfast, one of the best I had so far. It's location is perfect, not too far away from the center and therefore quiet. close to supermarkets, bars, restaurants and cafés and the cape town stadium as well as waterkant, all reachable by feet. the room was very nice with a cosy bed and flooded with natural light.

Плюсы: Beautifully decorated and furnished hotel, with really wonderful, friendly staff. Breakfast was great, a good mixture of buffet and menu options. The menu options were especially tasty. Really liked the lounge and pool/outdoor areas, with bar and tea/coffee facilities. Location was quite central, but we wouldn't recommend walking at night to/from the hotel (in a taxi/Uber would be fine). Rooms and whole hotel were spotlessly clean.
Минусы: Our room was really small, so maybe don't go for the cheapest option like we did! It would be okay for one person, but for two of us it was really tight. If we'd been there any longer than 2 nights it would have got uncomfortable.

Плюсы: POD Camps Bay is one of the places to stay in Cape Town resp. in Camps Bay: + Room, staff and breakfast have been awesome! + Room - very spacious, elegantly designed - I loved the open bathroom and the two showers. + Staff - friendly, helpful, knowledgeable where to go and what to do! + Food - delicious breakfast with lots of options, very good coffee, cheese platter in the evening etc. + Location - centrally located in Camps Bay with a great view (from the terrace or the room)

ALWAYS helpful, available & quick to respond to any & every need, within their power. I loved the aesthetics of the entire hotel! It was hard to leave but I WILL be back & will recommend this beautiful property to anyone who will listen! Thank you POD for helping to make the last days of my 6 week dream trip to Africa a trip of a lifetime!

Плюсы: The welcome on arrival made you feel totally comfortable and at ease. Nothing too much trouble but without feeling that someone was standing over your shoulder the whole time. Facilities were good and location perfect for Camp Bay’s restaurants etc. Felt safe the whole time we were there so no problem walking back to hotel after night out in Bay. Also great location from which to explore Cape Town.
Минусы: Pool was quite small and there’s no restaurant if you wanted to stay in to eat. Having said that there are lots of restaurants nearby anyway so no big deal.

We left our passports there and they kindly hrlp d with an emergency run to the airport so they could deliver them to us!

Плюсы: You will be amazed at the service from check-in all the way to departure. The staff could not assist you enough. Everyone was pleasant and engaging -thank you Mark for your EXCELLENT staff. The breakfast was included and had many options. They even have lunch/dinner at the hotel. The dinner was also excellent -ate there 5 of the 7 nights (try their steak!). The pool area was clean with beautifully cushioned lounge chairs/towels/umbrellas. And staff was always available to meet your needs (cocktails, snacks, towels, umbrellas, day trip planning). The Glen also has an amazing SPA -thank you team for making my vacation not only memorable but absolutely unforgettable! I travel a lot and to many places. It was worth the 19 hours from home to visit the Glen. You will be delighted! I hope you enjoy as well. Happy Traveling!

Плюсы: Beautiful hotel, pool area, spa. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The staff is incredibly helpful and attractive. There's plenty of parking and the facility is clean and hip. The rooms are perfect, including a computer in the room.
Минусы: Not much negative to say, as this place is great, but the pool gets overly crowded with locals buying day passes and the never-ending deep house mixes booming from the speakers get a bit mind numbing after 4 or 5 days.

The location was perfect for us as we were between the hustle and bustle of the Waterfront and very close to relatives that live in Cape Town. The hotel was very clean, food in the restaurant was excellent and the staff attentive. Particular shout off for Samuel who was simply lovely
Минусы: Our ensuite bathroom smelt a little of drains but with windows opened this was fine. Restaurant stopped serving food a little early but as i understand as Europeans we do tend to east later than South Africans

Плюсы: Absolutely loved the location, 2 min walk from our room to the beautiful sunset beach. It’s a very quite long beach, we jogged on it every morning. The room was beautiful and spacious with all 5 star amenities including a sound system. The staff were top class, every single one of these people provides ultimate 5 star service, and we were made to feel at home. I had a bad tummy when we arrived and the entire team took such good care of me, the chef came to the door herself with a ginger, chilli etc house blended shot plus extra home remedies to cure me. And it worked:) the owners of this hotel have something here to be super proud of because it the people and Service that make this property one to recommend. Obviously the views from the roof top and the food were excellent too:)we will highly recommend it:)

Плюсы: Bliss Hotel met all our expectations. On arrival, we got a warm welcome. During our 4 day stay, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The entire staff is certainly a strenght for this boutique hotel. Food was also very good especially at breakfast. The room was very clean, large enough and well equipped. Bathroom and shower very good. The whole building is well maintained, right on the beach where you can walk hours (Table Bay) and close enough to downtown Capetown. Private parking. Secure area. Great view on Table Montain. We would certainly return.

Плюсы: Stunning location, I had a wonderful room with a seaside view, just 50 meters from the beach, with a spectacular view on Table Mountain and magnificent sunsets, staying at this hotel far exceeded my expectations. The area near the hotel is save ,the dunes and beach are great for jogging in the morning,
Минусы: Wifi reception in my room ( #105) wasn't the fastest one I hoped for, good alternative would be to go to the reastaurant where the signal is way much better. other then that no complaints what so ever.

Плюсы: The feeling home atmosphere and the people they ace our stay terrific. We will be back with our family, no doubt. The area is great for visiting the Cape and the winelands but also the city of Cape Town.

The staff is incredibly nice, the breakfast is truly amazing (buffet and a la carte menu), the interior looks like straight from a design magazine is full of thought through details (plus little treats available anywhere, including a Gin and Whisky Bar). The rooms are super quiet and have all the amenities you can think of (and more). Also the beds are really comfy. There is a small gym if you feel like working out between all the delicious food. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Минусы: Bed was rather small considering the opulent property and our room had no easy chairs so watching TV was impossible although the number of channels was small as was the TV itself.

Плюсы: The grounds and building is more than 100 years old, recently refurbished. The room had all the modern amnesties. It had 6 USB connections in the room - you’ll never need to worry about charging all your devices. We got a free bottle of Merlot, and free mini bar. When you book, make sure you have breakfast included, cos you can eat from BOTH the buffet spread (which, is excellent) and the ala carte menu as well. Stayed there for 4D/3N, managed to book lunch at The Greenhouse - an excellent experience. Dinner one night at The Conservatory - another excellent experience. The gardens are so well tended, it’s breathtaking. Every single staff was happy and genuine and went out of their way to please. Special shout out to Adam Herbert, Guests Relations Manager. He just ‘knew’ instinctively what to recommend, without asking too many questions. His sensitivity, practical suggestions and sound advices made the trip 1000% more enjoyable. Followed his advice to ‘try our luck’ and go early to buy tickets for Robben Island Tour - it worked! I highly, highly recommend The Cellars-Hohenort to anyone visiting Cape Town.

Плюсы: Worth every penny! We researched for hours the best hotel to start our honeymoon and Mannabay far exceeded our expectations. The team worked hard to have our room ready for when we arrived which was much earlier than the check in time and was a real bonus. The views from the Versailles suite are outstanding. Photos can’t do it justice. Food and hospitality here are remarkable. The afternoon tea was fantastic and the wine delicious. Everyone here goes the extra mile to look after you and the breakfast is awesome. Best hotel in Cape Town.

Плюсы: One word "fantastic" everything was great.... The location, nearby hop on hop off spot.....and main attractions. Within walking distance from several good restaurants. Quiet place, very friendly and helpfull staf. Spotless clean and a very comfortable bed. I will recommanded to my friends and family. Плюсы: Beautiful restored old building. Bruce and Ann were such genuine nice people and helped us plan our days. The B&B was spotlessly clean and we felt very safe and secure. Parking was easy right outside. We decided to use Uber for local destinations as they were so quick and reliable and were cheaper than parking our car, if we went to the Waterfront.

Плюсы: My family Loved loved the place. The location is excellent and near many of the activities we engaged in. Near a convinience store, food joints, bus stop, table mountain etc. And it was very quiet. This place is extremely homely. The facility is very clean and staff very kind. We were taken care of by Tina who was absolutely amazing. By the way,they even offered to buy some groceries for us before arrival which made our stay easy. God bless.

Плюсы: This lovely historic home could not have been more perfect for myself and 2 sisters. We had 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, as well as kitchen, dining area and living room. Bedrooms had heat and A/C. Location was great in quiet residential area in the Gardens near Kloof Street with its restaurants. Breakfast was not included, but there were several restaurants nearby with good food at reasonable prices. Our hostess corresponded extremely well with us, and also made arrangements for our airport transfers. If I am lucky enough to get back to Cape Town, this is where I would stay. This Guest House is so much better than those big box hotels near the noisy wharf, but just a few minutes from V&A, Table Mountain and other City sights.

Минусы: Whether a one off or not, I had really bad experience of having to kill multiple cockroaches in my room the first night of my stay. Making staff aware the next morning, although friendly, I returned to my room late after a day of work and ready for bed, to be met with another couple of cockroaches scurrying from under the bathroom bin. Second of four nights stay. The next morning I informed the guest relations manager, who was very smiley and apologised (questionable sincerity) to be asked ‘were they big’ to which my response was ‘that’s missing the point’. I was moved so I guess all good, but 2 poor nights sleep, zero action for a whole day shows poor guest service. I’d rather there would have been less smiles and more to rectify the issue immediately, which may have made my 4 night stay more pleasant. It’s a real shame as the property is stunning, staff are friendly and I had such high hopes the first day, sadly my view changed and I will not be returning.

Плюсы: I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay for my first days in Cape Town. Location is excellent for exploring the Waterfront area and beyond. The hotel arranged airport pick up and the driver was waiting for me and provided a pleasant ride unto town. Highly recommend this service. Staff is friendly and responsive to requests. They really made my stay special by providing a complimentary bottle of wine and thank you note when I returned in the evening. The room was quite spacious with ample furniture and the bed was so comfortable! Breakfast was delicious with so many choices! I also enjoyed the rooftop in the early morning with an outstanding view of Table Mountain. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to others. The hotel has a great vibe with plenty spaces to meet and mingle or just chill.

Минусы: Reception disorganised/disinterested. On checking in, we carried all 4 of our bags and travel cot and stroller and no porter to offer assisiatnce. On the third night the front office staff decided that our baby sitter coulod only come to our room after signing ionto a book, that they could not find, and held us up for about 15 minutes while they looked...finally they allowed her to write on a piece of paper without checking the veracity therof. Each night we stayed, a flashing warning light on the ceiling kept going off, " oh don't worry about that, we'll switch it off". Despite asking the front desk NOT to call the room our kids ( 3 and 18 months) were sleeping in, the did so repeatedly on all three nights.
Bar staff inattentive,, room service slow and inefficient, meal for 2 ordered at 11:340 took an hour was cold, (although delicious) and arrived with 1 set of cutlery for 2 meals. ( one does not complain at that jucnture when one is hungry... i just ate.
As a family we have spend between 15 and 20 nights a year in Cape Town, always taking either a two bedroom suite or a hotel with interleading rooms. We have some favourites, and apart from a great location and great room, the service in this hotel is so ambivalent borderline disinterested that we will not return.
