Минусы: Our comforter had various stains: blood, some yellow stuff I'd rather not know what it was, and other unidentified stains. While I appreciated the convenience of the indoor pathway, the public traffic through hallways was a bit weird.

Excellent location next to the waterfront, restaurants and cafes and within walking distance to other downtown areas. Laundry and hot tub on site, and 2 options for outdoor lounging with great city views. When we checked out a day early for our standby flight to avoid hurricane Dorian, we weren't charged for the late cancellation. If I return to Halifax I'm staying here again and have already recommended the place to relatives for their trip next spring.

Минусы: Considering you're right next to the harbour, I would have liked being able to open the windows instead of relying on central air. Limited parking but there's a ton of public parking right across from the building so not as big a deal as others are making it out to be.

We especially enjoyed the decor of the lobby and mezzanine, and the hotel restaurant which was in the style of a classic English public house. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice and the beds comfortable.

Плюсы: The chef making omelettes as part of the breakfast buffet was very nice and the fresh fruit at breakfast was very fresh and tasty. The location is really good - just opposite the public gardens and on the outer part of the city center. The water (and Salty's the best seafood restaurant nearby :-)!) is about 15 - 20 minutes walk, and Argyle Street and the bulk of the pubs and restaurants are only 5-10 minutes walk away.

The rooms were very nice and the beds comfortable.
Минусы: Parking was a bit expensive at $28 (CAD) a day, and getting to and from the parkade was a bit of an ordeal, but being right downtown these things are expected. Many more positives to outweigh this one minor negative.

Минусы: The room was very small and very loud. The bed was only a double. It was not as close to the downtown area we are used to. Parking was very expensive so we did not use it . There was a fridge,which is the only positive thing I can say, but no microwave.

Минусы: Our room was not what we expect for cleanliness. The shower curtain has a few small brown stains & crumbs on the floor in the entranceway & bathroom. The room was not up to their usual standards but was a great view and the bed was very comfortable

Минусы: They need to be more clear on parking, we were paying 20$ for parking left came back no parking and was informed it was first come basis so we had to park up the road and walk back to the hotel with all our bags from shopping not very convenient ! The rooms are also not very big I picked a queen room with a king bed I would of even been fine with a queen bed but it was 1 double bed in the room .... I will not be returning!

Плюсы: The Continental Breakfast has a lot of choice, not only pastries and muffins. Cereals yogurt boiled eggs. breads and bagels... best choices i have seen for years of traveling. As for the whole experience, nothing but praises for the staff and front desk, and convenient bus service every 10 minutes weekdays, 15 during weekends, fot $2.50. Excellent deal all around.

Минусы: I needed another blanket for the bed on one night as I preferred not to turn on the heating in summer. The shower was very difficult to use. I asked a cleaning lady in the bathroom how to use it, and even following her instructions, I could not easily get hot water that would stay at the right temperature.

Минусы: We didn't like having to move our car out of the parking lot between 8am and 4 pm. They directed us to streets that we could park on around the college but they we alreadu full. We had to park blocks away. This was a disadvantage and nuciance. Beds were okay. Dorm beds...but we slept ok. The streets are a little noisy around the college. But all in all it was a good stay. On the money if your sticking to a budget.

Плюсы: The hostel is very well located, especially if you come or leave by bus or train! In a short walk, you arrive on the waterfront or in the lively neighbourhood. The room felt big enough for 6 people and the bed was actually not that bad.
Минусы: I did not really understand why food had to be kept outside of the rooms and stored in the kitchen, especially if the kitchen has opening/closing times. The reception was closed from time to time and it always happened when I needed to get my bags that were stored in there... apart from that, the experience was totally fine.

Минусы: I forgot my wallet - my fault! Unfortunately it also meant that I couldn’t check-in even though I’d pre-paid for the room. Had to drive 3 hour round trip to get my wallet and head back to the hotel - all after setting up for a conference. Would be great if we could check-in with registration or something else if the room has been pre-paid.

Минусы: The man at the desk who checked us in was snooty and unhelpful. The beds were uncomfortable and we were awoken by construction at 7am. The food was so stale and bland we had to ask for a refund on the buffet. It has been, by far the worst hotel experience we've had in Nova Scotia. For $163.00 per night it was very VERY disappointing.

Минусы: Parking, there were events being held at this location which limited our time to the restaurant they were even closed at 2pm on Saturday. We paid $50 to park but was full had to keep checking for a spot. Really disappointed wanted an evening at lounge

Минусы: The room! The second drawer of the chest of drawers had male underwear, socks, etc. in it! We have never experienced anything like that wherever we have stayed! The bed was very uncomfortable. Although it is non-smoking some staff were sitting on the steps on West Street smoking and as we are both reformed non-smokers and this was very unpleasant to walk through. On site parking was deplorable. Cars were crammed into the lot and left us with concerns about leaving the vehicle there. It did turn out OK but didn’t help with having a restful night.

Минусы: hallways and stairwells are narrow, the building is 4 storeys and we were booked on the 4th floor, 2 single beds that were in a room so small they were not placed side by side.parking ok I think this place is a firetrap
