VERY CONVENIENT TO BOATSHOW, BREAKFAST WAS GREAT, ROOMS WERE COMFORTABLE, ALTOUGH THE HOTEL SEEMS OLD NO FREE WIFI FOR BUSINESS RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED BECAUSE OF BOATSHOW PAYED $50.00 TO MUCH THROUGH KAYAK
Pool, location (close to airport and cruise terminal) Staff, chaos at breakfast (which was fair at best), parking
Lpcation Age of appearance. In severe need of updating.
Next to the beach, heated pool was excellent, had a good view and good size room. We love the Seafood Salad, we ate there a number of times, great service and great food. The bed was bigger than a king size. Which would have been great, but the flat sheet and blanket didn't fit so they put them on sideways to stretch across the bed. This only works for very short people as the sheet was at least a foot an a half from the headboard. For us it was about 5 inches below the shoulder. So no covers above this. We ended up tearing everything apart and using two flat sheets, in the correct direction, to make the sheet portion work, but we were unable to get the blanket to work. ..Should have requested another one. Room was clean in the main portion, definitely dirt / paper close to the walls where the vacuum doesn't quite get. I'd still give the cleanliness a good rating. Bathroom is old, but was also clean.
Wait staff at the cafe were outstanding. It is a funky hotel.
Great location, affordable. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Room smelled musty, bathroom dated.
Great location, chairs and beach towel service excellent.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nicely appointed. Overall a good value for a one night stay. The bathroom was a bit frightening... Paint pealing, mildew in the shower... Just needed some love...
Location Unfriendly, on accommodating staff . Managers unavailable. Don't bother having a drink outside very unfriendly wait don't bother having a drink outside very unfriendly weights staff.
Location Needs more parking. Need more electrical outlets in rooms
Patio bar for breakfast & dinner Rooms need washing and upgrades
I was able to book at a discounted rate through a booking site. The location of the hotel is perfect, right across the street from the beach. They rent out towels and chairs at no additional cost which is a HUGE plus. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was able to upgrade to a suite which had a private balcony. Perfect for me and my guest as this was to spend a weekend away on the beach with her. The water in the shower would get hotter every time someone flushed a toilet. Was constantly having to step away from the water because I would getting burned. The shower head had no pressure and the paint on the ceiling in the shower was peeling off.
Can hear everything going on in room next to you.
Location location location. Outdated furnishings, poor lighting in room, somewhat dirty in places.
Comfortable, clean and great customer service. Shout out to ansam atif fo being extra polite and helpful, really made our stay memorable!
very clean and comfortable. The two rooms next to us had obnoxious families traveling together. After midnight they went between the rooms, slamming doors and talking in the hall. I called the front desk and it stopped. At 6 am it started again. Didn't sleep much that night.
My bed was very comfortable had a great weekend rest it was quite and peaceful I had no problems
They should have vending machines on each floor, lobby is way to cold
Staff were extremely friendly and professional. Room was a bit musty.
The crew was very helpful There are strong odors there. Be prepared. Not a new place no open windows in the rooms...
Cleanliness Cruise departure
Good location. Very nice staff. Clean, no frills but worth the money spent. Complimentary breakfast was nice every morning. Time worn, showing its age. Construction ongoing to repair, not upgrade facilities.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Gift shop, food and beer/wine sales in lobby is wonderfully tacky and perfect. Pool area nicely landscaped and pretty. Room clean and comfortable. Perfect for a quick overnight stay. Location and facade had me questioning my hotel choice. Slightly scarey first impression.
That they had a shuttle to pick up and drop off to and from the airport The room had roaches.. The towels were clean but not plush.. The roach situation was just disgusting. The offer free breakfast but there is not a variety offered.. There was little fruit and sometimes no protein, for example no eggs
I loved the free shuttle to/from the airport and cruise terminal. The staff was fairly nice. The bathroom was disgusting: hairs from other customers still on the bathroom floor. Pillows were more like wimpy throw pillows, our necks were stiff in the morning. The continental breakfast was the worst I'd seen. While they did have a few waffle irons, they only offered some bread to toast, few store-bought pastries, some cereals, only a few condiments.
Organized We lost our I phone in our room and they didn't find it .
Great accessibility, restaurant + music within the lobby, and we liked the super gift shop. Service was great + fast. Though only 2 floors, an elevator would have been nice for luggage carrying.
The staff was incredible! Place was really clean and the bar was fun No complaints
Shuttle service to and from airport very good. Check in is horrendous. Waited 5-6 minutes in line for both check in stations to process one family. Then 12 minutes to process me. I had a prepaid reservation. It was midnight. I've traveled extensively for work for forty years. This is a new record. Even worse, I had picked out a beer from their cooler. By the time I got to our room it was warm. That's just inexcusable.
The price was good and the staff was really nice. We joked around with them and all was well, but that's where it ended.... Well first, there were two earthworms in our room, no fun to step on one of those first thing in the morning, trust me I know...ugh! Then, the shuttle to pick us up from the airport took 50 (fifty) minutes to get us. We saw several other hotel shuttles come and go before we got picked up. Then, our room was way in the back where they are doing major construction. On top of that, the lights went out for about half a minute...no big deal right? Well, it is a big deal when you are watching EMPIRE and the TV decides to stop working after the power came back on! LOL We were so mad, we just went to sleep and waited for the night to be over! Oh and one more thing, there was a sports bar on the site, that we were told had really good food...the food was mediocre at best, I would've rather spent my money on snacks at the airport and just not eat an actual meal that night.
near airport was discounted clogged drain quite small pillows noise woke me three times
Location, shuttle option. Value, overhearing desk staff complaining about a staffing issue, hot room, no breakfast provided, despite being a Marriott member and owner.
Lobby was stylishly decorated. Staff was attentive. Room was well equipped, modern & clean. Check in/out was smooth.
Accommodations were great and all the shops and restaurants were close. $25 self parking per day. No complementary breakfast.
Rooms not ready for check in at 5:00PM. Fire alarm goes off early in the AM. False alarm. Rude wait staff (in the bar)
Wound up staying here during peak season on a business trip. Would be a great choice for family/spouse getaway and the staff were absolutely excellent. Excellent accomdation for the money and would go back.
Quiet, relaxing, close to shopping and restaurants. Could use more staff.
Location I did not like anything about the hotel except location
I like the color and decoration theme outside/ inside... Good use of the space was made to fit microwave and refrigerator...good location.. Walking distance from food stores and pharmacy.. Buses stops outside to the beach or shopping areas...Staff was great and helpful. The bathroom needs to be renovated..the toilet is too small and creaks a lot..the bathroom is too small to have a bathtub.. A walk in shower would suffice... Where my room was had a sign next door that said quiet corner..it was the nosiest motel I've ever stayed.. The neighbors kept slamming the doors... The lamps between the beds should be higher in order to not block the person on the other bed.
This motel is situated just beside the A1 highway. I thougt that the traffic noise could be a nuisance but it didn't. The room was very clean and the the bathroom shower had the best tap and pressure among the hotels I stayed in during our 2 week trip to Floida. The room had clinker floor and thus didn't have any smell as the rooms in most hotels have. The staff was very helpful and drove us to the nearest water taxi station. Thanks! The price-quality relation is good. This motel is situated 1-2 miles north from the beach strip and the nearest public beach is 10 minute walk away. If you want to have beach life, there are better alternatives. The wireles network was not operating in the rooms, only near to front desk. The internet connection in the room with the wire did not work with my laptop. The pool was in the other hotel, but near. No restrooms beside the room.
We stayed at Gallery one prior to boarding the Eurodam at Port Everglades. The hotel was a wonderful way to bridge the time from work to vacation. The location on the intercoastal, and its position as a stop for the water taxi, made the hotel a real treat. The nearby Galleria Mall was extremely convenient.
Nothing at all . Poor raining and wait about 1,5 hours for check in due that the electrical system was down. Pretty bad for a chain of Hotel like that. Furthermore no internet connection work ... is good that exist some Panera Bread store in the area .. at least I was able to check e-mail and have a good breakfast. Next time I will stay in Miami. Unfurtunately nothing.
Right on the waterway in Ft. Lauderdale
Very warm welcome from the reception staff on arrival (the 'welcome' cookies are highly recommended!) and equally impressive service from the valet, bar and restaurant staff. The room (double suite with 2xqueen sized beds) was very clean and homely - exactly like the photo's posted on the hotel website! The water taxi to Fort Lauderdale beachfront and Las Olas Boulevard stops directly outside the rear of the hotel and is an excellent facility for guests who don't have use of a car and, with the commentary provided by the staff on board, it's also a great opportunity to learn a little more about the area on route to your stop! Order the Doubletree burger - tasting is believing! Only one minor criticism - having been asked to provide a credit card to secure the booking (by booking.com) and again on arrival at the hotel(i.e. two different credit cards), it's not good practice to assume the bill would be settled by credit card without checking the preferred method of payment with the guest first (which on this occasion, would've been cash). While the 'express check out' service is a great idea, this had all done by reception very early on the day of our departure (we were up at7.30am and the receipt had already been pushed under the door!) I would have preferred the hotel to ask me how the bill would be settled and if not by cash, to check that the card provided at check in, was the card to be charged.
Great value and an excellent location.
We came here after leaving our first hotel. Great location, clean, comfortable and great view of the channel. Valet could be a little less.
comfy bed, liked the separate lounge area, good room service, friendly staff A/c in bar was way too cold, doors to suites were very noisy in the morning the slamming woke me up when people left(maybe a bit of padding?)
Very pleasant, friendly, courteous, helpful, professional staff willing to go out of their way to be of service. Our room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. We had a nice view from our balcony of the inter-coastal waterway and all of the boats and yachts passing by. Our stay was very pleasant from start to finish. Sliding door to balcony made a grinding noise when it was opened and we could hear the door above and below opening from time to time during the evening. The doors just need a little maintenance. For some reason the cleaning staff was short wash cloths a couple of days and we had to call to get them delivered to our room.
Everything was great - the service staff was incredible! the suite was gorgeous and very clean - loved it! Will definitely be staying there again! The only problem was the gym - it's way too small and claustrophobic. For a hotel this size - they need to expand this - I tried 4 times to use the gym and it was full - holds about 10 people comfortably.
Was only there one night. Barely in the room. Nothing bad to say
The suite had everything on my wish list, compements to the staff who were more than helpful. It was further from the beach than I thought,
I loved the duvet and cookies on arrival!!! and the concierge was just so helpful. The room was really nice, the website doesn't do it justice and the room service was excellent, food was great. oh and the breakfast was fab! Marie on reception was so helpful, she ordered us a transfer service to sawgrass mills for $70 round trip for the 2 of us. I thought this was great- thanks Marie! There was nothing about the hotel I didn't like. I would stay here again however I would hire a car, even though there are some things close by, we were a little tied unless we took a taxi and they are fairly expensive in Fort Lauderdale. The hotel had a fixed rate service called ATS which were brilliant and much cheaper.
Location No ice machine, ac didn't work right
Super cute place! Very nice and clean, secluded and private. Great value for the money. Bed was so comfy!! Little bistro you can go eat by ran by the resort. Definitely recommend if your traveling on a budget.
I loved the location and the room was great. The wifi was very weak or non-existent and the hot water ran out very fast.
Very quiet, and nice. All the (other) units were nice. Bed was uncomfortable. Squeaked every time you moved. There was a visible (and old) busted box-spring in Unit #3. The head board was also broken, and had to be adjusted several times.
The man at the front desk was very nice and did not to get ruffled when we didn't have the credit card we used to book the room. The hotel was a little tired, but it was clean.
Free shuttle service to and from ft lauderdale airport . Cheap shuttle to Miami port . Shuttle service to port of Miami was $15.90 pp. in case you're flying on one of the airlines that only fly to ft lauderdale airport. Great value overall . No convenience stores, banks etc. within walking distance .
They had a shuttle to pick you up from the airport and they had a bus that would take you to your cruise port which was amazing. Made our trip much better and easier. It was also nice and quiet.
The room was clean It was far from everything, staff came off a bit rude
The rooms were clean, The staff was helpful, The Breakfast was okay, I did not have to wait long for the Airport pick up. The elevator could have been a little cleaner, you accessed it from the courtyard so i guess a lot of sand and grit is carried in directly from the outside,
The only reason I gave it a two star is because of the transportation they provided to and from the airport and to the port. Most of the staff is very unfriendly. I was late for the free breakfast so I had to pay, that's not the problem. The problem was the female waitress was rude very unfriendly and unwilling to want to take our order. Once we got ready to pay our total was $14.65 off by a few cents. We gave her a 20, but only came back with $4.00. I complained she went back into the kitchen and brought me another $1.25. Still short..it's disappointing to think that management is proud of running this kind of establishment. Ramada left a very bad taste in my mouth.
Got wifi and HBO for free Cleanliness
Convenient Check-in staff very hard working, but needed more help due to long lines
Complimentary shuttle service from airport and to cruise port.
From the time we called for driver to pick us up to the time we checked out. Everything was done professional with the staff. The breakfast, housekeeping and front desk.
Location was close to port Everglades for our cruise. They also set up transportation after the cruise back to the airport. Everything went perfect. I would stay again if cruising out of Fort Lauderdale. Out dated
so disappointed for the cost. Poor arrangements from the airport-had to keep calling back to Ramada " in 15 min.-in another 15 min" for the motel computers to load so clerk could verify we were registered guests before they would send the shuttle. Rooms were very poor repair with chipping paint and wide gaps around door-air conditioner was LOUD and very dated.
the rooms are so ugly, that my wife preferred to sleep in the car. Wether we paid for three nights in advance we left after one night and choose another hotel.
Clean, comfortable. Room not dark enough.
The pool and hot tub, general atmosphere of the staff and other guests, convenience to the beach and restaurants. The landscaping was in need of a great deal of attention along with other details of updatinig.
Short walk to the beach. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. Room decor was modern and great looking. Clean rooms. Beautiful meditation gardens and yoga classes right outside of our room. Gorgeous, clean pool area. Staff was very pleasant! Mattress was a bit too hard.
Had parking, kitchenette. I didn't feel safe and the room was dingy. Shower had inadequate hot water and the bed had rough sheets and worn out bedspread.
Room was very nice, with great bed and antique furniture. Not at all institutional. Very clean. Had happy hour every night. Very close to beach. Tv was old, but okay. Breakfast was mediocre American-style "continental" which most Europeans would find lacking.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpfull and the room was clean and neat. It did not have a hot tub which most all the other guest houses have. The breakfast was just medicore.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room did not have enough table surface to lay papers and countertop items like laptops and cell phones.
Very nice staff and guests, I felt like a friend from the beginning. You can have a great time if you want company and if not very respectful be in privacy. In walking distance to gay beach and boardwalk restaurants of Ft. Lauderdale. Will defintefly go there again next time.
They appeared to be doing some construction, but it was noisy and the overall facility seemed very worn in a little tired looking
Thomas was wonderful at the front desk. Since they could not find our reservation.
the staff was very helpful to my special needs. a little to far away if you are going to miami beach
Every visit excellent food!
Not enough parking.
I loved the modern up to date look of the rooms and they were clean. The pool was open and clean as well.Staff was super nice I didnt like how it shows on the map before booking that its right on the ocean but its actually not. You have to walk about a mile to get to the public access for the beach or drive and pay to park.
The room and the pool 24hrs was great The person in the front desk during the morning shift. Poor manners, horrible service, rude and not friendly.
We had a jaccuzzi in our honeymoon suite. The room was clean and smelled fresh. The staff was very friendly and we could use all of the 4 pool areas.
No beach access
Great location. Nice room. I am happy for big refrigerator. Thsnk you, I had good one night. I miss breakfast there.
We loved the pool and deck area. So nice and relaxing. The free airport/cruise shuttle was awesome and timely. The only negative was that our TV didn't work. They sent a repair man but he couldn't repair it.
The room was fantastic!!! So comfortable and clean and welcoming! I didn't want to leave!! And I will be back! :)
Value for the money The fact they don't offer a continental breakfast.
Good size room and really good restaurant/bar Very firm bed
Close to the beach and to the strip, super friendly and accommodating staff! We definitely enjoyed our stay
View Everything at this hotel is broken, elevators, phones, the Skywalk that takes you from one side to the other. The pool is small and there is only 1 bathroom for everyone, the line was at least half hour long all day. It was faster to walk the 2 blocks, cross traffic and climb the stairs to use the bathroom in your room than wait in line, or walk to the beach, which it seemed mist were doing, and use nature's facilities. They also charge $20 a day to park you car and another $20 for resort fees, I'm not sure where that money goes, since everything is broke and the pool is the almost the smallest I've ever seen at a hotel besides a few motel 8's.
pool and right on the beach under construction. but can't help that
Right on beach Could of used some updating but was 100% worth it
The best part of the resort/hotel was location. Depending on what building you stay at, the beach was within walking distance. Al
