It's clean, the rooms are really nice, and it's in a great location. I have no complaints. This place was awesome.
I love the nicely decorated rooms and modern feel. Great location. Rooms not quietly. Could hear all traffic from the street and noise from other rooms and I was on the 9th floor. Would like to see Sonesta to replace those thin windows with something better.
Great location to tourist sites. Rooms are moderdon, clean, spacious. Room are not very sound proof.
clean, nice staff, secured parking, spacious rooms, microwaves in room, no smoking, comfortable bed and sheets Daily parking was over $40/night
The staff was friendly, respectful and professional.
Great location, clean and very friendly hotel staff. The Art Bar left a lot to be desired. Poor food and service.
Beautiful boutique rooms N/A
the view and the room was lovely, the hotel is close to the city hall and to the museums. Bar on the first floor is good. The pool was not very clean (passable) and people had to ask several times for towels. The pool area can be a great place - just add some plants, get rid of ugly fence, put a bar there....
Clean & facilities are modern Room is describe with "city view", only view is an office building across our room. No full service restaurant in the hotel but walking distance to everything.
Noisy and crowded they day we were there a plain clean serviceable hotel Two things. Our room was between two college kid rooms with multiple tennants. They were polite but busy Other was we went to happy hour and the price was not honored
The bedding is super comfy and the overall look is modern and very pleasing. Great staff. The room was a tad too small for me.
Construction at an adjacent building seemed to go on all night long. Unable to have any silence or sleep. And then there was a taxi "horn-honking" demonstration in opposition to Uber. Worst hotel experience of my life.
The cleanliness and modern decor was very inviting and appealing. Breakfast ending at 9 instead of 10; there's no validated parking, paying $34 for parking is ridiculous.
Right across the street from the wonderful Reading Market and the Convention Centre, and next door to a great burger place. Staff was wonderful. Room was spacious. Free coffee and tea all day! Heating was a little weird. The air conditioner was powerful and came on automatically until we turned it off, but then there was little air ventilation. Certainly not the end of the world.
facility was very nice. staff very accommodating the air in our first room didn't work. After an hour of being in the room the temperature was still 78 degrees. Engineering said the people who had that room before us had the same problem. They shouldn't have sold that room again until it was fixed. But... they moved all of our belongings while we went out to dinner and were very nice and helpful.
Paying 40 a day for parking was crazy, other than that it was awesome
Location location location. Kitchenette, room decor, foot shelf in shower (not important to all, but us gals appreciate it!), good climate control, room key access for elevator (great for security). No lotion in room (I forgot mine), no place to get wine and/or beer for the room in the evening, parking garage is really complicated set up, no access to hotel from garage and difficult to navigate. One of my wash towels was soiled (ick).
People were nice and helpful. Breakfast was decent and family friendly. $40 for parking for the night is a bit ridiculous. Wasn't a fan of the bedding. My family has a tendency to toss and turn and by the morning the sheets had mostly all come off my bed and the same for my daughters. Not a huge deal but a fitted sheet would have been n ice.
Great breakfast. Clean and modern rooms. Excellent location
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Philadelphia Center City is a class act! From the efficient, friendly check in to check out, we were treated as special guests. The staff actually cared that we had a pleasant, comfortable stay. We asked the staff for recommendations on moderately priced restaurants close-by and were pleased with our choice from their list. Our room was comfortable, quiet, pleasantly decorated and well stocked with adequate amenities. This is our third year staying at the Double Tree for the annual Philadelphia Flower Show and we have never been disappointed.
We booked the best suite on the 26th floor for our wedding night. The hotel gave two sets of our room key out so when we went up to sleep at 2am after our wedding, there was someone else's items in our room. They downgraded us to the open room on the 8th floor. I was not given a refund as the manager said it was an equivalent room... It wasn't. :(
We liked that everyone was friendly and welcoming even the guests. Philadelphia was beautiful and will most likely visit again soon. The only thing we didn't like was that we had to pay for parking. Normally if you're a guest it's free to park so it was a bit odd. Also that wifi was not free as well.
staff had great attitudes and were outgoing. rooms were clean and well maintained. as expected for a hilton. tv in room was rather small. rooms were connected by doors without request which led to sound pollution from other rooms.
Location Needs some room improvement, maybe paint
I think the front desk staff were amazing- it was the quickest chec-in and check-out I've ever experienced. The cookies upon check-in were literally a warm touch. The room was a decent size- with a great view of the city from the eighth floor. The pool hours were until 11pm- which was great because I got in on the late side. There was also a decent gym and a sauna with lockers that you could put a code in and use. The decor in the room was somewhat dated and showing its age. The bathroom was small and it took maneuvering to close the door. If you need absolute quite to sleep it may be a problem because you can hear the traffic from the 8th floor and any hallway activity as well. The cleaning people knocked at 8am to clean- when I was checking out anyway, so I could of done without the disruption.
We had to checkout for an early flight. It would have been nice to have coffee and fruit in the lobby.
The view of center city was PHENOMENAL. The beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was not included. Only four elevators for the entire hotel, which meant in the morning we waited for five elevators until we found one with enough room to send half our family down, then had to wait again to get the rest of us down (there are only four of us). We still had to physically check out at the front desk, which had a line. Most hotels don't require that anymore. Very small pool. No free WiFi.
AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Parking was easy, front desk staff was polite and helpful - but housekeeping was loud and crass outside of our room in the early hours. Be careful if you are located in room 1602 - the housekeeping staff 'breakroom' is right outside your door. Directions for ice would have been nice - rather than the scavenger hunt I ended up going on.
Location was great and rooms were overall quite clean. A little beaten up, but otherwise quaint. Lobby bar and front desk staff were very nice. Someone trying to get into our room in the middle of the night and the cleaning staff thinking 830 am is an okay time to come clean the room.
Location Dirt in corner of bathroom, pool area unkept,
This hotel was very comfortable and in an amazing location, close to everything I needed. The night staff were a bit grouchy when I arrived, but Seamus and Andre were really friendly daytime staff. I ordered a whiskey on the rocks at the bar and they charged $4 just for the "rocks"(aka ice) - drink-lovers beware!
I spent $200 for a one night sty on a Wednesday, and the room had no refrigerator and it was also an additional $30 to park over night
Great location and pleasant staff. Guests in the next room hosted a party until 5:30am. Several calls were made to the front desk, but the party continued throughout the night. I got the impression this is normal behavior at this particular hotel. Wouldn't recommend to others traveling for business.
Location was perfect for walking to lots of great historic and shopping/neighborhood browsing. Parking a bit expensive ($36/day) but it's a city, so it was expected. The staff was VERY helpful and friendly, got us right in even though we showed up a few hours before check-in time, answered all questions, and gave some great recommendations. Overall, a terrific experience and I would highly recommend!
From the minute we walked in, the front desk staff was helpful, gracious, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Danielle was a star! She made sure that we were well taken care of after our long day of travelling. She even directed us to the best Philly Cheesesteaks in town! Hotel room was great. Location was perfect. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
Great location in walking distance to historical sites. Super friendly front desk staff. Room was not ready at 5:00 pm. They did take half off parking to compensate a little.
Comfortable bed. Bottled water in the room. Right in the middle of old town Breakfast buffet was so so.
We had never been to Philadelphia and had no idea what expect. This hotel was elegent, clean and updated! At check in they gave us a piece of paper that had all surrounding restaurants and attractions all seperated by types of food or establishments. Then as an added bonus, the kind, helpful staff member at check in even put stars next to the best places to go to with kids. To make things more convenient the 1st morning we were there we were able to schedule a bus tour of Philadelphia right in the hotel lobby. This worked out great for us becsuse we only had one full day there and wanted to see as much as we could. So all this is great, but the best part is the LOCATION!! With in the hour that we arrived we deciedd to walk to get none other than a cheese steak. We walked the direction to Jims (which was suggested by the hotel staff and happens to be the best philly steak in town) and with in 2 blocks of the hotel the street transformed to a bustling city to a picturesque scene of 1700 brick houses, with trees canopying the the cobble stone streets. I walked to Starbucks in the morning from the hotel and walked right by where Benjamin Franklin had been buried and didn't even know it! The parking garage is not connected to the hotel and if there is valet, we never saw it. There is a parking garage on the premises, but no entry directly inside the hotel to and from the garage.
Great old city location. AC unit is loud; bathroom could use a thorough cleaning -- dust and hair accumulated in corners. Tub did not drain; ankle deep by the end of the shower.
Perfect location! Right in the heart of historic Philadelphia with plenty to do within walking distance! Staff was helpful with everything requested Bathroom was not very clean. Used q tips in the room. The coffee was not restocked.
Rooms were perfectly adequate - bed fine, our shower worked, hot water and Internet worked fine too. Read the fine print - parking not included! Poor service - breakfast was poor, service there was poor, front desk was mixed fine when I checked in but when my mom told them about a leak in their window, no note taking, no interest and no improvement.
Hotel staff was friendly and efficient and the room was clean and exactly what we needed. It looks like an older hotel from the outside, but inside it is well cared for and looks like it may have been renovated recently. We stayed in a one bedroom, which had updated furniture and the bed was very comfortable. The room also had water and a coffee maker inside which was a pleasant surprise as I had expected a barebones room. We had a room at the end of the hall and didn't hear anyone in any other rooms. We walked from the hotel to Independence Hall, the Art Museum, Eastern State Penn, and Walnut Street, and found it a slightly long but comfortable distance to each, so it was a good central location. Also, we did not park with the hotel, but at a nice parking garage in Chinatown, which is just down the street from the hotel. With a voucher from the hotel, parking was very reasonable for downtown Philadelphia. All together the hotel was a good value for the price, especially since I booked the room only a short time before our trip. The bathroom could use a little work, it was clean but the ceiling was flaking and had stains, and the floor and shower just looked a lot older than the rest of the room. Also, the shower's hot and cold water was reversed, but we figured it out quick and didn't have a problem with it. My only other concern isn't with the hotel itself, but with the location of a homeless shelter on the same block. Not realizing this we left our car parked on the street across from the hotel and happened to come back to it at the same time they were serving lunch. We came back to our car surrounded by about every homeless person in Philidelphia. I just would have parked elsewhere if I had realized this, so FYI for future patrons.
Find something else.
Located downtown and easy to get to everything. Small, old, noisy, drafty. Cost high for basically an indoor motel. Breakfast was not good.
The whole set up was lovely. The artwork in the hotel is great and the room is very clean and welcoming as well as the staff. I got to Philly early but there wasn't an available room until the usual check in time, 3:00.
Absolutely LOVED staying here. My boyfriend and I stayed here after the marathon. Bottled water when we arrived, champagne and the staff upgraded our room! We got there 3 hours earlier for check-in and because our Queen room wasn't ready yet and my boyfriend was visibly exhausted from the marathon, they gave us a King room that was ready. The rooms are the perfect size, comfortable bed, clean bathroom with amenities, and room service was fantastic. Free wine social hour by the fire was incredible. Hotel is centrally located with a lot of great food surronding. We'lol be staying here anytime we're in Philly! 18% gratuity and 5$ service charge placed on the food service is a bit excessive. The lady (who was so sweet) brought the tray into our room and had me sign a receipt that had a tip option on it. Just mad it a little uncomfortable. It didn't take away how amazing the food was though!
Location 1) Room was extremely small and uncomfortable. 2) AC Fan cycled on and off every 15 seconds or so keeping me awake during most of my first night there. I reported this to the front desk and asked that it be fixed, but was not. I had to turn off the AC the next two nights in order to sleep. 3) We had booked several rooms for a wedding party. Only 1 was available for check in at the advertised check in time. 4) Only 4 elevators for a 25 story building made getting from floor to floor very difficult. For example: getting coffee and ice (each available at only 1 location in whole hotel) took an unacceptably long time due to long elevator waits. 5) Staff was not very helpful. One of our guests left an item in another room. I had to follow up with lost and found 3 times before I was able to get it back. 6) in short...while I've stayed in many hotels in my life, this is one of the worst experiences I have had. Next time I will stay in a Red Roof or similar....my experiences there have been much better. This was certainly the poorest "value for dollar" that I've ever experienced.
Great located, clean and comfiy. pretty new rooms. Nice staff No free wifi (pretty oldfashioned) No parking, 48 $ for one day valet was pretty expensive.
The staff was very good and the location was excellent. Our room was not ready until 45 minutes after the check time. The bed was not comfortable.
Clean, friendly and helpful staff. Great location.
I liked a LOT on December 12 Santa klaus with all the dogs around It Was simple delightfull. For me a 10 Star hotel. We spend 3 weeks and we enjoyed
My fiance and I visited for the holiday weekend. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room ammentities were updated. Great views of city (of your on the right side of the building). king size bed was nice to have although it wasn't especially soft. Room was cleaned every afternoon for when we returned. They have decent free wine ever day between 6 and 7. The hotel lobby and elevators and hallways were nicely decorated, full of art. Room size was just average, didn't have much if any more room compared to other hotels. The shower was nothing special, same size and same shower head I would find at a 2 or 3 star hotel. Nothing was inclusive except for a few toiletries you may have forgotten at home. We had a weird Brown smudge on one of our end table drawers that room service had to clean up. Only 4 elevators for 25 floors of rooms was bad, if your in the top floor like we were we had to stop at 4-5 floors going up or down before we arrived at our room or the lobby. Ice is Only on one flone which is extremely inconvenient. These negatives were a big let down, overshadowing the positives for the price you pay.
Friendly staff. Good location. $50 for valet parking. Still not sure where they parked the car....
Friendly and accommodating staff Plenty of nearby restaurants No business center (but front desk was helpful)
My hubby and infant stayed at this hotel for new years day, and we loved our experience. It was convenient to downtown philly, our city view king was spacious for a downtown hotel, and the hotel extras, like happy hour, morning coffee, and all day hot cocoa were lovely!
The hotel was pet friendly Hotel need a pool
Not a good bed at all. Otherwise everything was pretty good. Nothing special though.
My room had everything I needed. The location is excellent. The hotel offers free wifi and hot breakfast. They charged me $70 for incidentals at check in without telling me about the amount. I noticed it, because my credit card company emailed me about the charge. Also there was a strange charge ($0.01) after check out. I need to figure out what it was for.
Front desk staff were very helpful in supplying directions and ideas of what to see. In the historical district. Bed and room were comfortable. Pub/bar next door is generally not that noisy except for one night pre-Halloween when it was extremely noisy. Liked having a washer/dryer - it really helped as travelling light. Grocery store around corner is open late. Easy to get to via train from airport. Or cab is about $30 (used this for early morning flight on return). Bathroom could use a bit more cleaning but it was clean enough. Bit far from rest of downtown but subway provides easy access or you can walk. Streets in area deserted if walking home late at night - recommend take subway (stop is only a block away) or take a cab.
I liked the helpfulness of the staff and the location of the hostel no negative emotions whatsoever
Male dorm smelled strongly of mildew
Downtown Philadelphia, old city district. Very nice personnel, cheap rates. no
I felt this place was very laid back with a hip set up as well as staff. I got the feel this was a alternative dorm for the neighborhood!! Lack of privacy...... yet, i didnt have to stay there either!! :)
The fact that the have events every night, making more easy to talk to the people how are in the hostel.
Very nice personnel. Location is very good. Perfect place for budget staying for 1-5 days in Philadelphia.
When I arrived to the marriott to find out kayak never reserved my room, the kind marriott staffer jumped into action (and also revealed this was the 4th time that week that he had to deal with kayak's inefficiency)
Hotel was clean, staff was attentive and courteous. The rooms were beautifully appointed, and when our booked room wasn't available, we were upgraded into a corner room executive suite overlooking historic City Center. Pool wasn't heated.
Location location location. Recently redone so very updated/modern. Let us check in very early. Nice toiletries. Double lock on door didn't recede so you had to jerk handle to be sure door closed.
The location was great, room and hotel was beautifully decorated, and the price was so reasonable. I would definitely come back! $50 to park your car is kind of expensive but you get a full 24 hours.
It would be nice to have some kind if discounted parking. Also, we had dinner in the hotel's restaurant and would only give it 1-2 star. Would not eat there again.
I loved the building it was very classic Philadelphia and very comfortable. It was very clean and the rooms were well kept. The bed was extremely comfortable! The night staff didn't seem as up beat as the morning staff - but then again they are working nights. They did their jobs and got my room key to me in very little time. :)
Location My room was not ready till 5pm.
The hotel was beautiful, the employees were very kind, and the room was perfect for our overnight stay. We walked to the Reading terminal market, and we were across the street from the subway station. Couldn't have asked for a better location! The valet parking was a bit pricey but it was very convenient and no stress.
Location is good, although there are 2 different Marriott hotels next door. We went to the wrong one first and already had valet parked our car before we realized it was the hotel next door. Received an email confirming room would be ready by 3, upon arrival at 4 we were notified room was not ready and would be 45min. We were told they would call us when ready but after hour an a half of no call we went back to find there was a credit card issue which could have easily been resolved if they would have called. Wasted time wandering around downtown
This was out 4th time staying and it was just as before. Clean friendly convenient and FANCY! It's a little hard to grab a cab/uber out front, but that's the city. No reflection on the hotel at all.
We had a wonderful stay at this clean modern hotel... It's location could not have been any better. Will definitely stay here again.
The room was gorgeous and the staff were very nice. The bed was way too soft. And the walls are thin so we we were woken up through the night by a group next door to us. We finally called the front desk at 4:30 and they addressed the issue.
The manager took great care of us after she was told about our disappointments. She was wonderful and made our second night much better than the first. Most of the other staff were very friendly and accommodating. The facility is extremely old along with the heating/air conditioning units. Our sheets had a hole in them. Had disappointment with 2 staff members who were a bit rude. Felt the crowd that hung out in the hotel bar and/or were staying at the hotel were a bit trashy. For the price per night, we could stay at the Sofitel or Four Seasons and get better accommodations.
The staff was incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable of the city. We had a great experience! They must have given our room away before we checked in. Our group of 3 friends got one king bed so we had to use a roll-away cot, which wasn't the most comfortable thing.
The hotel and staff were extraordinary. i was always greeted upon leaving and entering the hotel. Oftentimes the bellman or concierge would ask if I needed anything. I must have looked a bit lost!!! The situation detailed below needs to be addressed because other than that, the room was most comfortable with a lovely view of City Hall northward Amanda in housekeeping was excellent in refreshing my room and being extra certain there was no detail that was omitted There wasn't anything "I didn't like!" However, The only "hiccup" I experienced was a slight odor of tobacco in. my room at the end of each day. When I notified the front desk they were quick to put a plan in place to remedy the problem. Unfortunately, the odor continued and was probably a function of the odor of the carpet, drapery and bedding.
Awesome building champagne at checkin have had many enjoyable and memorable stays. Understaffed, poor service sub par to other Ritz hotels. We were provided with wrong room on arrival. Room was somewhat dated and curtains had large weird stains on them. Carpet in room was also stained making it feel dirty. Restaurant service was horrible / waited 40 mins for a table then waited another 15 mins to get acknowledged by staff. Used express checkout, left some negative comments and asked for emailed updated portfolio via email - never received. I've had better service and value for money in other not so "refined" hotels.
Professional staff lovely accommodations!
I loved the comfort and quietness the hotel had.i think that ahuttle should take people to sight if they don't have one. just something to consider for a fee.
Free shuttle to the airport every 20 minutes or so
The booking company switched my hotel when I landed at 1145pm and made me go to a different hotel, but then took over 30 minutes to confirm the change with me. As a result, i had to go to a new hotel by myself which was not as good as the one I booked. It was a terrible travel experience and underscored why I never use third party sites like this to book hotels. I will never use this service again, based on my experience this week.
Staff was welcoming and very friendly. Room very comfortable. Loved the free wi-fi
was close to the airport The girl at the reception was not nice she even seemed to be bothered by us when we asked information about where to find a gas station , was not clear enough and most of all not kind at all!
The rooms were really nice and the beds were comfortable. The hotel provides free airport shuttle. Nothing
Fairly clean, good service. Walls in the rooms are thin - bring earplugs if you don't want to hear what's going on next door...
BED WAS UNACCEPTABLE
The airport shuttle service and front desk staff are second to none. Nowhere have I ever felt so important mattress is ready to be replaced
All staff encounters were great. Well done! Especially Sadine in Players sports bar. On a very busy night with little help, she was superb. In hotel dining options which was important on an icy winter night. Comfortable bed. Paper thin walls and loud heating/AC unit makes for a restless sleep. Earplugs recommended if you are sensitive to noise. Food at sports bar received luke warm at best. As said, it was a busy night due to many flight cancellations and staff appeared thin. This may or may not be the norm.
The young man who checked me in a 2:30 am (11/9) was very friendly and helpful. He is deserving of some recognition.
-It was close enough to Hershey and major attractions but far enough away to avoid the crowding of Hershey. -The price was good. -The room was clean. -Each room has a parking spot right outside so you can just park and head inside, no lobbies or elevators etc. -Tiny bathroom. -Shower was lukewarm at it's hottest and had hardly any water pressure. -The room was freezing!! The heat may have been broken or something, but it was always uncomfortably chilly. To add insult to injury, there were only thin blankets, so I ended up just sleeping with my jacket on. Temperatures were in the 30's at night when I stayed, and it definitely felt like it in that room.
The decor was so beautifully, hideously outdated. We loved it. Would recommend to friends.
Staff very pleasant. Difficulty getting in and out of parking lot.
Clean and comfortable. Seems like a good value.
Smelly and dim room.
Great price and clean!
The hotel staff was very nice. Check in and check out were easy. Room was large and clean. Price was very reasonable. Great experience. Continental breakfast was pretty small.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was good for everything we needed. It felt like staying at a older relatives home. It smelled old and felt old. The breakfast was LACKING.
Our family just needed a place to crash for the night. It fit the bill, not to expensive, reasonabley clean. We came in went to bed and left in the morning. If you are looking for more this may not be the place for you. I wish the breakfast had a little more to offer. It was a little lacking, but I didn't starve either.
It's not as clean as other reviewers said it was.
The helpfulness of the owner in helping us with suggested activities and shortcuts. She knew great places to see and where to eat. We did what she said and it turned out great. We had not.been to the Philadelphia area before. Her breakfast fare is ample with fresh fruits and special breads and cereals. She does a great job. Ultra close and convenient location next to trains. No significant deficiencies. Gang bathroom, but everyone is friendly and it works just fine.
My parents came out to Philadelphia with me to help me find a place to live. The Burbridge St. B&B had a room available for 3 people and served breakfast for a decent price. It seemed like a great deal. However, the price for the room was not worth the emotional stress, uncleanliness of the house, moldy breakfast, and overall unpleasantness of Ms. Hague. Here are my grievances: 1. A cat roams the premises. - It is only mentioned in the Information section of her website that she has a cat that roams the premise, and the text is buried. So, if you are allergic to cats, DO NOT stay here. When she led us to our room, the cat followed and jumped on to our bed. There was cat hair on our bed, floor and towels. 2. The parlor room advertises enough room for 3 people. However, the double bed is not big enough for 2 people. - The room plus the cot should have been advertised as enough room for 2 people, not 3. I ended up sleeping on the love seat in the room my entire stay. 3. Breakfast was moldy. - We were served moldy cantaloupe, blackberries, raspberries and blueberries. The cherries were "hairy" with mold. The milk was chunky. The bread was previously frozen and looked a few years old. 4. She speaks unkindly of past guests - She told us stories about guests who were "fat whales" and "obsese-350-pound teenagers." 5. She scolded and embarrassed guests in front of other guests. 6. She accused me of breaking her chair and wanted to charge me $75 to repair it - Weighing 130 lbs., I was sitting in her antique dining chair, which broke off a piece of wood and showed a crack between the spindle and back of the chair. She asked me if it was broke and cussed at me with the F-bomb. She then scolded me in front of guests and demanded me pay $75 to repair it. I told her no, to which she told me to “get out of her house” and to “join the list of thieves.” 7. You share a bathroom with her and other guests. Needless to say, my stay at the Burbridge St. B&B was not a comfortable and restful one. The trip was already stressful due to looking for a home in a new city, but Ms. Hague’s unkind treatment and poor hospitality towards me and my family only added more stress to our trip. She is not a kind woman, and I do not recommend this place to even my worst enemy. The Burbridge St. B&B is dirty, cluttered, unsanitary, and unwelcoming. Do not spend your money or your time at this place. You will be disappointed.
We only stayed for a night so did not get to take advantage of the beautiful lobby with many seating areas from high tops to cozy couches. Somehow it felt very open yet very homey and welcoming at the same time. Beautiful quiet neighborhood. Very friendly staff. The heater in our room sounded like a mini-explosion every time it kicked on. The walls were paper thin. We were wakened by two female voices and two babies at 7:30 am. I would have sworn they were in our room.
Location was awesome. Staff was friendly. Terrible TV...too small and very blurry. Food menu was weak...not enough variety and over priced for the quality. Should not have had to pay an extra 30.00 for one nights parking...outrageously over priced and a very sneaky added expense.
Very close to the historical sites, restaurants and Penn's Landing. Very friendly and helpful staff. Having access to the Club Lounge was very convenient to get breakfast or a drink to go. Only valet parking available. Getting used to the noise of the heat/Air conditioning unit turning on and off. It was very quiet while it was running, just the starting and stopping noise that might wake you up if you aren't use to sounds.
Access to historical sites and great restaurants
Room fab! Parking fee was ridiculous!
Room was comfortable and clean. Lobby was decorated beautifully for the holidays and kept well updated in design and comfort, many sofas to relax, semi private sitting rooms to relax and converse, all with a warm, inviting feel. No fridge in rooms.
Comfortable beds, nice lobby with Starbucks coffee, continental breakfast, late room service, within walking distance to many things and short cab ride to airport
Good location. The hotel was renovating at the time, and I woke up to the sounds of construction! There was no mention of this at all on booking.com - I would've liked to know before booking that there's work being done there. I'm sure it will be fine once done, but still. Hotel staff were okay, but not particularly warm.
Confortable, near city attractions, car stayed at valet parking all the time, good relaxing swiming pool.
The hotel had a great feel when you walked in. It looked very clean and modern. When we arrived Saturday afternoon, there was no doorman to help with the bags. I ended up running into someone when I went to get a cart who was hanging out at the front desk talking. Also I was putting a stroller and there wasn't anyone to assist with holding the door open. Lastly, there were 2 weddings going on. From our room, we could hear the DJ until past 11:30 at night which isn't ok when you have small children and if you are a light sleeper.
Good check in person Internet service
I liked the privacy though the hotel was full. There was not a refrigerator in the room and the ice bucket was undersized. The wedding guests in the lobby were too loud, they should be contained in a private area. The valet service did not retrieve my car in 15 minute time slot. It took took 35 minutes and I had to ask for my car twice.
They charged me $70 extra for two nights. Supposedly you can't take the food from the dining hall to your room BUT there's kitchenettes in the room
I liked the location and the spaciousness of the 2 bedroom unit. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good for a free breakfast. Our room needed a remodel. It was clean but not super clean. Wall paper was peeling off. Carpet raised up in spots. The staff was not overly friendly or helpful. It seemed some workers were staying in the building. Not sure I felt very safe.
Clean rooms, comfy bed, close to airport with a shuttle The staff wasn't as informative as I'm used to. I had to keep asking questions that hotels just usually tell you. I was never told the shuttle to the airport only runs every 30 minutes which ended up making us late to the airport. Outdated bathroom fixtures and millwork.
Staff was very rude and not helpful at all. We had many bags, and no one willing to help us with our bags. Any time we asked about information regarding the area, the staff's responses we negative and unhelpful. In the morning when we left for the airport, no one available to help us with our many bags in the cold and snow, and staff was unwilling to unlock lobby door to make transport of our bags easier. Will never recommend this hotel or stay here again.
Clean, friendly, safe and convienence Hard to find on GPS
Very dark parking lot, hard to find because the address is listed incorrectly almost everywhere. It's off Island Road.
