Hotel Aviz

Breakfast was adequate. I wouldn't put it higher than that. Two rolls, two flabby croissants, two slices of processed cheese, two slices of processed ham and a little plate with some butter, jam, more processed cheese - for the two of us. The coffee was provided in generous amounts, but was just so-so quality. The host was cheerful and helpful, the rooms were clean and the towels were large. In spite of being full, the hotel was not too noisy. However, on New Year's Day, someone in a nearby room was vomiting very loudly - not pleasant.

There was no bath mat in the tiny shower, so it was slippery and unsafe. The radiator was cranked up high, so we got a bit hot and dehydrated first night, then reduced the heat and had a better second night. The stairs - narrow Victorian era stairs, and lots of them to get to our room under the roof. No view - just roof tiles. The bedside table drawers couldn't be opened, because the tables were too large for the space and turned sideways, with drawers against the mattress. There was a wardrobe, but since there were no hangers (??!) we couldn't hang any of our clothes. The mattress was too soft, and there were only 3 pillows for the two of us, instead of 4.
