Плюсы: Friendly, professional crew, free meal and drinks onboard.
Минусы: The check in email I received suggested I download an app to access in flight entertainment. When I followed the link it stated that the app was not available for my location (at the time Sao Miguel). When I tried to use the SATA onboard app I’d previously downloaded it wouldn’t work. I don’t mind not having entertainment provided by the airline as I have access to downloads from a streaming service but it is frustrating to be told a service is available and then have it not work. Mobile boarding passes would be convenient.

No worse than a lot of other airlines, but nothing spectacular.
Плюсы: It was nice that they served a meal. On the flight back we got an exit row which was nice. I liked that they were being thorough about security.
Минусы: My husband and I weren't seated together on the way out. On the way back they didn't start boarding until 10-20 min before the scheduled takeoff, so we didn't take off on time. The flight was also delayed 2 hours and there was no explanation as to why. The food was pretty bland.

Минусы: They announced we should pick up our luggage and go through customs, before catching our connecting flight to Teceira. This was not so and we almost missed out next flight, very disconcerting.

Плюсы: The leg room was awesome, for a 6 foot tall person! I really liked the meal and the wine served was actually quite good, with generous servings! Crew was so friendly and accommadating, really nice people! I was very comfy, even with the trubulance

Минусы: One of the male flight attendants was happy and engaging while the other was not friendly; and two of the female flight attendants were ok, while the younger two were unquestionably unfriendly.

Минусы: I didn't like the fact that we lost one day in the Azores was supposed to arrive on Saturday morning instead we arrived Sunday after one a.m. and again we were delayed one hour.

Минусы: The entire flight had to wait before two other flights to board that were scheduled to board after us. Flight took an extra hour to reach the destination, and during the flight the crew was constantly banging into me when I had my arms within the arm rests. Once at the airport, our entire flight had to wait for a flight that landed after our’s luggage to come through the conveyor belt. There was only the option of fish for food. Who offers basically microwaved fish on a flight, everyone knows you shouldn’t reheat fish. There was also no entertainment on a 6 1/2 hour flight and the WiFi would not connect.

I'll Never Flight with them

Минусы: Departure delayed 3 times. Flight was supposed to be at 8h20 am and we get in the plane at 7h00 pm. We were stuck waiting in the Bus for 1 hour because meals were not all in the plane.

Минусы: They cancelled the flight and made us try stand in line for an hour to get bussed to the hotel- another hour wait. No luggage because it was in a bin so no clothes or anything. Left at 6 am next morning . Got to Sao Miguel and missed my flight that was to leave the day before. Made me wait on stand by before putting me up in a grand hotel with no luggage. It was Still in Boston. I had to buy things to wear and use. So late no dinner at hotel . Terrible

Flights were great! But carrier was a confusion
Плюсы: I loved the fact that our meals, drinks and seat allocation was included in the price. The staff at Azores air was excellent. The flight crew was friendly and it was a smooth flight that took off and landed on time.
Минусы: I bought the ticket through lastminute.com everything I had sent to me said I was on a TAP flight. It was a shared flight and I actually had to check in with Azores Air. This caused me a lot of stress as when I called lastminute.com to find out what was going on as TAP didn’t have a flight leaving to my destination it was only after several minutes of conveying there was no Tap flight that the customer service rep said oh you are to check in with Azores Air.

Waiting on runway
Минусы: They had us board from the front and the back of the plane, and a gridlock ensued in the middle with people trying to cross paths to get to their seat. When we landed, we sat on the runway for 20 minutes or so waiting for a gate. Customs/immigration in Boston was HORRIBLE, we waited in lines for over 90 minutes.

Минусы: Flight was 2 hrs late then when boarding they loaded all of us in a bus. We’re packed in and then stood on he bus for over a half hr waiting for the cleaning crew to finish. Why we didn’t just stay at our gate till it was ready? Idk but everyone seem to not know what they were doing and very unorganized

Минусы: There were 2 other couples in the situation described above. We waited in line and got to the agent first, but upon realizing he had more than one couple in our situation, he agreed to help us all as a group. He gave us our tickets for the new flights one by one. When we got onto the aircraft we realized that we were in the far rear of the plane and the two couples (4 tickets) BEHIND us in the original line were given tickets in the business class portion of the plane, all the way in front. We were seated between two screaming babies and their parents, cramped in an aisle and middle seat. When I originally booked the reservation, I had paid extra money for the seats we preferred. Our new flight gave us the worst seats on the plane while giving the couples behind us in line the best.

Плюсы: Flight from Sao Miguel was on time and arrival at Boston was also on time. The crew was friendly and professional. It would have been nice if the WiFi at the airport was faster so we could have loaded the WiFi app for on board entertainment, but somethings can’t always be accomplished.

Плюсы: Couldn’t drink it since I am pregnant, but free wine with dinner.
Минусы: Plane was hot. Was in the back and had to sit for a while before air was turned on. No entertainment. Bad weather made our flight 2 hours longer. Couldn’t sleep on overnight flight as ailes were busy for the rest room.

Минусы: Boarding was a bit chaotic. They called us all, and then we had to wait about 15 minutes, with everyone standing. They don't call by row number, so it's a free for all. Food was so-so. Dinner was fish, which was dry and had no sauce. The cake was also dry, unlike the delicious brownie we had on the flight to the Azores. (But that flight was delayed 6 hours!) I don't want to watch entertainment on my tiny phone. I wish they had seatback screens as other Trans-Atlantic flights do.

Минусы: I went to kayak.com to book a flight,kayak booked it threw flyus who booked thru sata aero..This was such a pain to deal with.My sata flight was delayed so much i Missed my connecting flight.Sata was closed so i had to get hotel room on my own accord.If I book thru kayak,kayak should be my contact,not the 3rd party.I wasted so much time and stresse. So much dealing with tracking down my info.For future travel I will consider other websites due to the complexity of your booking methods :/

Минусы: Boarded 1/2 hr late, note to self; don’t try to help stack the plates to assist the flight crew. Stewardess fussed at my GF for stacking the plates together neatly. She was only trying to help. Stewardess was rude, stating “ no no, not like that, this is cafeteria style” we didn’t get the memo. Anyway, hurt feelings report will be filed accordingly!

He gave us our tickets for the new flights one by one. When we got onto the aircraft we realized that we were in the far rear of the plane and the two couples (4 tickets) BEHIND us in the original line were given tickets in the business class portion of the plane, all the way in front. We were seated between two screaming babies and their parents, cramped in an aisle and middle seat. When I originally booked the reservation, I had paid extra money for the seats we preferred. Our new flight gave us the worst seats on the plane while giving the couples behind us in line the best.

Плюсы: Couldn’t drink it since I am pregnant, but free wine with dinner.
Минусы: Plane was hot. Was in the back and had to sit for a while before air was turned on. No entertainment. Bad weather made our flight 2 hours longer. Couldn’t sleep on overnight flight as ailes were busy for the rest room.

Минусы: I went to kayak.com to book a flight,kayak booked it threw flyus who booked thru sata aero..This was such a pain to deal with.My sata flight was delayed so much i Missed my connecting flight.Sata was closed so i had to get hotel room on my own accord.If I book thru kayak,kayak should be my contact,not the 3rd party.I wasted so much time and stresse. So much dealing with tracking down my info.For future travel I will consider other websites due to the complexity of your booking methods :/

A REALLY BAD Experience

Минусы: Almost everything seemed to be out-of-order and the crew seemed to be really struggling in order to bring some level of comfort to the on-board passengers.
