Since manufacturers adhere to airline baggage standards, no violations were found during checks. This misguided effort only resulted in publicly humiliating Swissair customers. Boarding process was pure pandemonium...this was the first time in recent memory, where all coach passengers were invited to board at the same time! Very inefficient! Crowded seating in coach,with ten passengers sandwiched in across Boeing 767 aircraft. Competing airlines flying identical aircraft have nine across seatings Thin seat cushions cause leg cramps after a few hours."

This is my sixth time traveling to Switzerland from San Francisco on Swiss....Their service in my opinion remains excellent......The cabin crew was cheerful friendly yet remained very efficient at the same time... The food was very good, , The two meals that comes with one's Ticket still also comes with complimentary beverage service .... and even a warm moist towel is offered towards the end of the flight ... not bad for a seat in coach ...."

The line of more than 10 people formed in the aisle trying to go to the lavatories, and the flight attendants would not move even after repeated requests by a parent who had a two year old needing to go. The employee at Lufthansa Senator lounge was nice enough to tell us that the crew must have felt like leaving early. She was very nonchalant about the whole issue. She also refused to assist us, and told us we needed to exit the airport and reenter through the ticketing counter. I upheld my end of the deal by reaching the gate in time. This situation needs to be rectified."

Lufthansa Considers this consequential loss not responsible for fees incurred. This service is unacceptable and will make us reconsider ever flying this airline again."

Разговаривают очень грубо, что само по себе для Америки непривычно. Одного пассажира обслуживают в среднем 20 минут(!!!) То забирают багаж, то возвращают багаж - отвлекаются на возврат сразу все. Рейс задержали на полтора часа. Об этом мы узнали на стойке регистрации. На стыковочный рейс мы опоздали, поэтому попросили сотрудников сразу определить наши дальнейшие действия. Парень на стойке очень в грубой форме сказал - прилетите в Мюнхен, там подойдете в сервис. Когда прилетели в Мюнхен оказалось, что сервис не работает. Бегали по всему аэропорту. Потом подождали на одном из рейсов Люфтганзы не закончилась регистрация. Попросили сотрудника ( по английски не говорит, только по немецки!!!!) решить наш вопрос. Она с кем-то созвонилась нас отправили на другой рейс в другой терминал на поезде и автобусе (Просили ведь сопровождение в Денвере- нам грубо отказали). В итоге багаж - потеряли. Отправили во Франкфурт вместо Москвы!!! Багаж ждали три дня."

For example, I did not know, when boarding, if we had to show our passports, but I asked him and we did not. I did not grasp the five levels of boarding he mentioned. I knew our group was not handicapped and we were economy, but I did not really know if we were group 4 or 5 to board."
Минусы: "There was one female steward who made me take my carry on bag from the upper deck and store it below my seat so another lady's much, much larger bag would fit. Her bag was so large, I can't believe it met the standards. On the other hand, this procedure may be the way things work out,for the good of everyone, but it came as a surprise to me. To accomplish the task, she even asked another female to move her carry on from the rack above her to another several rows down. This lady's hair was too big for such a small plane. She talked way too fast in the first monologue. The plane seemed cheap and the sub airline had an air outlet that would not turn off and leaked with water mist. There was an air conditioner that also had a water vapor leak overhead, which my son said was a 'strip' which he could not control. We were seating in the back row. We noticed the plane was operated by Mesa airlines and the plane was assembled in Brazil, giving me a feeling of excessive cost cutting. Also, the pilot had an accent that sort of added to the 'Brazil' thing that he was not a native English speaker. However, he had a good landing at Atlanta near midnight. I did not feel I was on a real 'United' Airlines flight."

We were surprised that we were served a dinner right after we took off, but the hot entree was bad, so we ended up asking the flight attendant bring us more bread so we filled up on that."

Not exactly my cup of tea."

Movies were ok but they put the box for the equipment under the seat in front of you! What little space we have for our feet is now taken up by the entertainment equipment!! I've had much better experiences on discount regional airlines than on this trans-Atlantic "premium" carrier."

The crew said that 60 minutes is the designated minimum but we used all of the 80 minutes plus, and it airport was NOT crowded. If BA is connecting to BA, then you have a responsibility ahead of time to address this problem and keep connecting passengers from getting overly distressed in a strange airport."

The second time we boarded and were told we’re waiting on catering who wasn’t on site then had to go through airport security. After 3HOURS , we were asked to leave the plane. For rebounding the next morning with no explanation. The next morning the flight was delayed an additional 3HOURS. We were never given food in all this time of a wait. This became an 18+ hour delay. We definitely missed our connection and they rebooked it."

Минусы: "So many small things add up to an overall poor experience on a flight, and it doesn't seem like United understands this. 1) WiFI was down. 2) Entertainment screens for several of the passengers on board were not working. The poor lady next to me had a broken screen, and combined with the broken WiFi, she literally just sat in her seat looking forward for several hours (after she finished the podcasts on her phone). 3) For a 5-6 hour flight, food (more than just snacks) were available for only about half the passengers on board. Apparently its an intentional policy of United to only have food available for a portion of the passengers. It wasn't even possible to purchase it if I wanted to because by the time the crew got to me, they were all out. 4) Baggage space under the seat varies wildly depending on your seat. For some reason, the aisle seat has the smallest space I have ever seen in my life (about the size of a shoe box). It was the first flight I have ever been on where I was literally not able to fit a small backpack underneath my seat."

Once on the plane for a 14+ hour flight, I couldn’t use the bathrooms freely as they were filthy. The staff obviously didn’t maintain the bathrooms during the entire flight. The food served made me wish that I had bought take-out food for 3-meals prior to my boarding. the quantity of food was inadequate for the long flight as well. 1 extra snack would have been appreciated. I will likely book my future trans-Pacific flights with another airline."

Мой багаж отправили на детальный осмотр, как потом оказалось, из-за обычного ноутбука. Передо мной сотрудница то ли таможни, то ли пограничница, изучала багаж такого же человека 20 минут, и по мере моих просьб только замедляла скорость. На мои просьбы о том, что началась регистрация на рейс, что осталось 25, 20 и в итоге 10 минут до вылета !!!!она ответила только: «Не мешайте мне делать мою работу». Дети мои пережили мамин стрес и наблюдали мои отчаянные попытки взять себя в руки. Рядом в истерике билась ещё одна такая же, как я. За 10 минут до вылета нас, наконец, пропустили, стараниями ее коллеги, который меня пожалел. все это время мы бежали к нашему Гейту, который оказался в другом конце терминала. Это был адский ад. Сам полет был вполне хорош, если не считать того, что по прилету в Киев мы не досчитались чемодана младшей Ани, его потеряли на пересадке в Мюнхене. Слава Богу, сообщили только что, что вроде нашёлся, прилетит на следующий день, ждём. 2018 год для нас начался с большого стресса!"

The woman checking the tickets while boarding was incredibly curt and rude to the old man in front of me (who clearly had an issue with his ticket that was not his fault), then when she got to me she took a look at my bag and said "it's huge I need to check that". It's a bag that I have carried on to hundreds of flights (feel free to look at my flight history with united) and definitely fits in to the over head. When I asked her "is it too big or is there no space?" she said "no space" without even looking at me. I proceeded to board the flight only to find tons of over head compartment space. This is very frustrating. She didn't even take the time to fit my bag in the measuring tool at boarding. She seemed to be in a rush for no reason. The flight was already delayed and being rude wasn't going to make it go any faster. I'm now a silver status member, likely to be gold by the end of the year. I've flown a lot, and I think it's totally reasonable to expect at least some level of politeness while boarding."

They made us wait seven hours and gave us a voucher for food at the last minute. People had already bought food. I would not recommend United to none of my associates."

Only to find out when it was time to board that I wasn't guaranteed a seat. EVEN THOUGH I BOUGHT A TICKET AND IT WASNT CHEAP. I was put on a waitlist and finally got a ticket after boarding was supposed to be over. I was appalled by the whole thing. Doing away with basic economy or just giving those who buy those tickets the basic rights that should come with an airline ticket should be considered. How can you deny someone a seat if they bought a ticket months ahead of time? What if I wasn't lucky and couldn't get a seat? Wait until the next flight hours later and get put on a waitlist there too? Something needs to change."

After a 2+ hour delay, I had to pay $60 at the gate to check a CARRY-ON that I had already asked about at the baggage drop at the beginning of that dreadful day. They assured me that it would be no problem, and foolish me, I actually believed them, so instead of paying $25 to check it ahead of time, I got screwed for $60. For a close to 6 hour flight, a meal should be provided. Entertainment was free because of the fiasco, but normally it's $7.99 which is ridiculous. Lastly, the leg room was really nonexistent. Truly the worst experience I've ever had flying, and I've flown plenty of airlines, both domestic and international. I definitely think my return trip back to Jersey will be my last time flying United."

Still smiling until the snack pretzels were passed out. When I didn't hear the attendant's question, in spite of telling her I was hearing impaired, she threw her hand up rudely and just continued on to other customers. When boarding I watched orhers board with the same size bag as mine, and wondered if telling someone you can't hear gives them the right to inform you at the gate that your bag needs to be checked?"

Минусы: "My husband and I flew from Newark to Atlanta on 03/12/2017 with United. My husband is active duty military and Alicia assisted us with checking in our baggage. She was very kind and helpful. After retrieving our tickets, we went through Security and my goodness, the process at Newark is awful and TSA WAS EXTREMELY RUDE. That's besides the point. Our flight was delayed because the pilot was not there. Our departure was at 0605 and we didn't leave until 0630. Everyone boarded the plane and we were waiting for the pilot. Then the crew members were pretty rude and not friendly. I know it's an early bird flight but jeez, they can be a little nicer. One stewardess had high heel boots and literally would stomp up and down the aisle. Then she kept saying my purse was not under my seat which it clearly was. I don't know where else she'd like me to put it, maybe in the passengers seat in front of me. I would probably not fly United unless I have no other choice."

Минусы: "Flight was delayed, causing major inconveniences, especially as I was on my way to a funeral Only compensation was a food/beverage voucher equal to the value of 5 Swiss Francs, enough to buy a bottle of water despite HOURS wasted"
Плюсы: "The flight attendants were friendly for the most part."
Минусы: "On both flghts we requested a bassinet for our 3 month old. We were told on the phone if one was available we were able to have it. Both flights had bassinets but we weren't allowed access to them. On our first leg the bassinet was in economy plus and we were economy. On the way home our fight was downsized to a smaller plane and the airline was too busy trying to cut 25 people off the fight they weren't able to give us a seat where the bassinet would be. We asked several flight attendants and got different answers from each one."
Плюсы: "The flight itself was great.. However the experience at the airport was terrible.. After placing several calls prior to my departure date to confirm that my 40 inch TV was ok for transportation , it wasn't until I got to the airport to find out that I was unable to take the TV or the TV stand.. I live in Philadelphia and had nowhere to leave it causing me to give it to a stranger in order to make my flight . I am very distraught that the information indicating there was an embargo restricting the transportatione of TV greater 32 inches or boxes to Montego Bay was not given during any of those calls.. I don't understand why that information was not sent in an email prior.. On top of that I placed a call to customs in Montego Bay and was adviced that the embargo is enforced by the airline not customs... If I could some how get some answers regarding this I would appreciate it..."

Минусы: "The plane was delayed incoming. Then boarding was interminably long because of overbooking and no overhead room for luggage. It took precious time to load passengers 1 group at a time while bags were checked. Once airborne I saw I only had 10 minutes or less to make my connection in Newark, which I inevitably missed. Poorly scheduled. Many passengers missed connections. It would have been much quicker and easier to advise passengers to check bags at the gate BEFORE the plane arrived knowing it was overbooked. I'm very disappointed in how the entire boarding was handled given the time constraints."
Минусы: "I was in the center bulkhead seat with an very oversized man on the aisle seat with a "service dog". It was not a service dog in the sense that it was all over the place--on my feet and in the aisle where it tripped a stewardess more than once and she told him it couldn't be in the aisle. So it pushed over to my seat because the guy was just to big to share his legroom. It shredded napkins the man dropped which a trained dog would not do. it bounced his tray table up causing him to drop his two vodkas. I had to have the stewardess tell him to move his arm and body out of my seat so I could stow my tray for landing. When waiting for my ride outside the dog was off lease and ran into the pickup lanes where the man had to chase him down. A true service dog would never behave like that."
