Apart from one grumpyish woman on the second flight the majority of crew were exceptional and really went out of their way to serve and help."
Минусы: "I slashed my finger fairly painfully on a toilet door while pushing it from the outside to open it on the Dubai to Cape Town flight [again, an upgrade on my home flight which is a bucket list dream would more than make up for that!] which i pointed out to a flight attendant and they took note of it and bandaged me up so it was dealt with well but hopefully that gets sorted out [she said she would write a report] cos it did unfortunately affect the rest of my flight a little... And so many crying babies [thankful for volume control on headphones] but literally that was it - love flying Emirates cos on the whole felt super well treated..."

First meal (breakfast) was served about 2-3 hours after take-off. Flight took off at 10 am so perhaps first meal should have been lunch. - Heard another passenger requesting veg. meal but crew said they don't have any extras and only serve special meals for those who request before. For a flight in which 60-70% of passengers are Indians, some extra vegetarian meals should be available (for those who do not know how to book it in advance)."

I was told I can only take one bag. This caused me to change my plans on what I can carry on my two small bags. This is also the reason why had to take a small handbag to keep everything I needed. I lost this bag at New Delhi airport. Had I been allowed the the standard tote and a laptop bag I may not have needed the extra hand bag and may not have lost my items. Emirates associate is partailly responsible for my lost items."

Плюсы: "We started with a 45 min wait on the tarmac before takeoff. Then spent 14h listening to screaming children. Now, I know that isn't the airlines fault, but it would be nice to see where children are sitting when booking on such a long flight! Once we landed, the girl next to me got sick and when I flagged a flight attendant, she simply told me there's a barf bag in the seat pocket - there wasn't - so I had to part the crowd to get that lady to a bathroom. Then it took 45 min to get off the plane! The food was okay and there was plenty to watch (couldn't read due to screaming children). It was a really rough flight."

It wasn't this flight but the flight from Tanzania to Dubai, the crew sprayed the plane and I would like to know what was sprayed as it was awful and what if any chemicals were sprayed on us. Perhaps it would be better to spray the plane before the passengers board the plane."
Минусы: "There was only one flight attendant would didn't assist my friend when we asked her to please take my friend's food tray away. My friend Emily Bayne was having a major discomforting eye allergy attack. Emily eyes were burning, dry, turning red, and very itchy and she wanted to go to the bath room to run warms water over her eyes, however she had the food tray and so we push the attendant help button. But when the flight attendant came to see what we needed and we asked if she could please take Emily's food tray, she just said I will come back later for that. So I told Emily just go to the bathroom I will hold your food tray. Emily Bayne was seated in the middle and I had the aisle seat, 44H. While Emily was in the bathroom I complained to another flight attendant what had happened, she took our food trays and then told her supervisor what happened. The supervisor came shortly and assisted Emily by granting her request and providing her with two warm wet towels, and later 5 more. The supervisor and the other attendant that I complained to continue to check throughout the fljght to see if Emily needed anything else, which was nice and accommodating. The flight after that incident was good, as the supervisor immediately corrected the insensitive act of his flight attendant."

Food was a big disappointment too. It feels like all the good service is reserved only for business and first class !"

Air quality descends on a long full flight, it became claustrophobic by the end. There was only an option for vegetarian-vegan, but I am not vegan. I won't do that again. My daughter's bag didn't make to SFO, even though we were early to check in."

On the SFO-BUD flight, the connection is through Istanbul, but the flight time is the same 15 hours, as on the SFO-ZRH-BUD route. In addition, two checked bags are free in coach."

I was wearing light jeans and a short sleeve shirt, and I was sweating all flight. Each time I asked throughout the duration of the flight, I was told it take a while for the temperature to decline. It's one thing to be uncomfortably warm on a flight; it's another thing when the flight crew lies to you. Further, I was not the only one to request that the temperature be reduced. This made an 11 hour flight particularly miserable."

From Chicago I used my ticket and say SWISS staff what my son will have trip only from Moscow. I paid for 2 tickets around $1700. Today when we should have trip back to USA, SWISS company said what ticket for my son do not exsist. And I spent for new ticket 220000 rubles about $3600. Nobody in SWISS company do not said me what my tocket for son canceled. I am shoked !!!"

Плюсы: "The crew fed us well throughout the flight--and we got free wine with dinner. The food was pretty good for airplane food. We got fresh dinner rolls, salad, dessert, and Swiss cheese. We got ice cream part way through the trip. I loved that we got a piece of Swiss chocolate on each leg of the journey. The crew was friendly. There was a screen at each seat where you could watch movies or TV, listen to music, or track your flight. The entertainment was free, and the crew provided free earphones. Blankets and pillows were provided."
Минусы: "Like most planes, there was not enough leg room. It makes it pretty uncomfortable for an 11-1/2 hour flight. The boarding was a little confusing, but no serious issues."

Плюсы: "Passengers completely ignored the commands of the crew and crew was unable to take control of the crowd (passengers refused to follow crew's multiple demands to sit down during the high turbulence, finally crew gave up to force passengers to take a sit). Several times, standing passengers fell on the sitting ines. When at the end of the flight, the issue was pointed out to the captain and supervising flight attendant, both became aggressively defensive to the point of being rude."

Минусы: "I had such a miserable experience getting to Florence on Swiss Air that I sent a letter of complaint WHILE ON VACATION!! Really. It was a nightmare... not the way you want to start a vacation. I had difficulty booking my daughter's seat online for the return, but didn't have access to phone service while abroad. In my complaint letter to Swiss Air I requested they place us together. I never got a response and upon check in, they had my son and me in our purchased seats and my daughter at the back of the plane. I asked them if they could do anything about it (I was even willing to give up my seats to move to the back...) yet no one seemed concerned or interested in helping to make this work. They also had no knowledge of my complaint or appeared concerned about my prior experience. I'm so over Swiss Air. My experience with the employees on the phone prior to my first departure, the lack of response to my email, and a disinterested and inattentive staff on my return, have all convinced me to choose a different airline next time."

Минусы: "The flight from Nairobi to Zurich starts in Nairobi, flies an hour south to Dar es Salaam, you then sit on the tarmac for an hour, then you fly north for an hour until you get back to the starting point. I would think they would save money if they flew an empty plane down to Dar es Salaam, picked up those passengers and then flew back to Nairobi. No way should an 8.5 hour flight take over 11.5 hours. Plus my screen didn't work for one of the flights, nearly 12 hours without entertainment was BS. No real variety in their meals either. The first leg had a main meal of beef and potatoes as the meat option, same option for the second leg."

Минусы: "Boarding was a bit chaotic. Food was okay but not substantial. Comfort was terrible in my seat - for some reason I had a seat with a metal box underneath so I could not stretch my legs. And the fellow next to me, in the middle, was over 6 feet and was VERY uncomfortable, even though he had legroom. There were good options for entertainment, but it was unreliable and had to be restarted once. Also, the screen was terrible quality and I could not see no matter how I adjust the screen angle or the light."

Минусы: "The Swissair website did not have my information available. Stood next to Passport Control for an hour (!) for a glitch they couldn't resolve before boarding. Flight was delayed 90 minutes. Worse quality beef on a flight ever, and that's hard to do. In my 1.5 million miles flown, these were the least comfortable, cramped seats I have ever experienced. I am only 5'7", 150lbs, but for the first time ever could not reach my belongings in the under-the-seat space in front of me. Seriously, it was that cramped."

Also, during the flight, the crew kept coming through with more water, which was VERY NICE! Plus, the moist towels prior to landing. It makes a big difference in comfort levels for such a long flight."

We had to wait til we were at the airport to do that. When checking in we were told we had to wait til onboard? Then once on board told no. So we were not able to sit together & weren't even in the same area of the plane. We also had an old plane & seats very uncomfortable. The movie screen was barely visible so basically u could just listen."

For such a long flight, it would be great to have power outlets to charge devices while flying. Flight was also kept very cold. Not very good entertainment options."

Why do airlines hire chefs then serve lousy food!? First meal was so so while wake up meal was really bad. Was so disappointed in Swiss Air so will not fly with them again. The plane was smelly until we were about to take off. The first meal on our way back from Istanbul was awful. The omelette was greasy, overly cheesy and bland. Same goes for the spinach pastry in the same tray. On the flights to Cairo, there was not enough drinks served. I only had one beverage offered to me. I was bypassed when they were serving the coffee/ tea. Also, the timeliness with serving drink was bad... I waited about 4 hours before getting my first beverage on the flight home."

I made my flight with only minutes to spare after going through two security and passport checkpoints and sprinting an entire wing of the airport. I will never fly through Ataturk (or anywhere in Turkey) again."

I had assumed that Turkish would be like it's other middle Eastern airlines line Emirates or Qutar but they are not. I would take my business elsewhere"

Внятных проходов просто нет. При этом 200-е и 700-е гейты у них очень удобно оборудованы. По расписанию посадка не началась. Вместо начала посадки один из сотрудников начал ходить среди толпы пассажиров и сверять паспорта с посадочными. Если все ок, то ставил штампик на посадочный. Приятно, конечно, что позаботились об экономии времени на проверку. Но организация процесса шокирует :) В самолете поддерживали температуру холодильника. Попросил стюардессу добавить тепла - покивала и поулыбалась, но теплее не стало. Реально пришлось в верхней одежде сидеть."

Crew is very friendly and helpful at the same time. Slippers and socks they give you in economy class + cotton blanket of course make you feel you are 1st class traveler. What else? At baggage claim, the crew loaded our baggage on the incorrect track, making it take even longer to receive it. Seats and leg room are sub par. As someone who is 6'3, when the person in front of me put their seat back, I was forced to take a metal bar on the back of their seat to my knees (no matter the position). I will be recommending to both family and friends that they should avoid this airline at all costs."

My suggestion is to put the computer laptops in alphabetic order by last name/surname, with the claim ticket,for easier access when picking up. As for departure, probably at check in to inform them that if you have a laptop carry-on so that can be taken care of right away as not to delay departure when they take it at the departing gate. This should be done at check in if in Turkey, or as a transferring traveler, to inform the traveler to take care of that as soon as arrived to transferring destination and for the traveler not to wait until boarding time at the boarding gate."

I did not say anything but, the stewardess should have made one of the people go back to their seat as he was wedged near the window and sitting on the floor. It made my 13.25 hours trip very uncomfortable. They had a child with them so, I didn't wish to complain while on board."

Again, they only had 2-3 people handling the distribution of the laptops. I understand the security issue, but this issue was known for weeks now and there is no reason not to have enough people on the ground to take care of the boarding and distribution of electronic devices to at least make this an easier experience. There is no excuse for such poor preparation and service."

I now know I caught a stomach bug which hit me on the flights from Cape Town to Istanbul and then even worse from Istanbul to San Francisco. The flight from Istanbul was delayed by two hours due to customs delay for a passenger, as such there was a lot of recycled air. Take that and fact I'm pregnant and by time i started the 13 hour journey already felt sick. I started throwing up immediately and got sick 12 more times. the flight attendants brought me crackers, water and a cold towel and ice. My husband asked if he could pay to put me in business class but was not in airline policy. but i think given how sick and pregnant i was the flight attendant went to ask the captain if there was anything they could do to assist. they ended up moving me to business class to lie down and let me stay there for 3 hours. I got sick upon moving back but getting that rest really helped me. I felt like they genuinely cared about me and am so thankful to the two flight attendants who assisted: 1) Zumrat Bolukbas 2) Hatice (Cabin Chief) These women are amazing!"

"The flight yesterday on 7/14/2011 was canceled. We haven’t received any notifications of the cancellation. My elderly mom had to sit in the excruciatingly hot Domodedovo airport, without any working conditioners with the temperature inside of the airport nearing 30 C, for more than 24 hours. She was afraid to get up to go to the bathroom, because she was afraid she will loose her sit at the airport. After my mom was informed that her flight was canceled, she asked, what she supposed to do now and where she should go, where would she sleep. She was told by Lufthansa representatives that it is non of their business and she can do whatever she wants. No food vouchers, nor hotel accommodations were offered to my elderly mom. My mom had to pay extra money and get another COVID test because the one she had was expiring on 7/14/2021. Nobody even cares that she has been vaccinated here in USA and has her vaccinations voutcher with her. It is horrendous, what is happening right now!!!!!! Not only my mom became a victim of shooting at her Kingsooper’s store in USA, she couldn’t even return back home to USA in a comfortable, human way after the trip that where supposed to take my mom’s mind off of the shooting at her store. Instead it is causing now enormous anxiety and fear. I am praying that tomorrow she will return back home to USA and non of her flights will be canceled again!"

Минусы: "Weak selection of TV shows for entertainment, but movies selections were very good so overall not a real problem."

Минусы: "There is definetely not much space for passengers in economy' especially for such long flights and when the seat in front of you is inclined. Not pleasant to eat nor to watch movies. I had to slid in and out my seat whenever I wanted to go to the bathroom."

Плюсы: "Overall once on the flight the service and comfort were very good. Attendants were very nice and helpful. Always had a smile and made the flight enjoyable. We specifically picked this Airline for its service and reliablity"
Минусы: "The checkin and "Automated" Baggage Check were a disaster. It took us a full 2 hours to check our bags and get to thru security and our gate. We were practically running to get to the end. The layout of the airport is very tough to get from point A to point B. Walking a long distance with multiple security checks. On top of that, the plane was almost an hour late boarding and then taking off. It was a mass of people with no way to cue for an orderly boarding process. No instructions or info given to allow us to go get something to eat or drink prior to boarding."

Плюсы: "I had to pay a premium more to sit with my family to sit together in cheap seats."
Минусы: "I did not like the treatment of being a star alliance gold member then getting gouged even more for sitting together with my family in their cheap seats. My bags were marked with a priority tag, which meant nothing other than my bags being the very last off of the turnstile in San Francisco. One other passage stated that Luftansa does not care abut this aspect of customer service, which is obvious."

Плюсы: "Very attentive, friendly and multilingual crew, frequent offers of food/drinks, good selection of movies"
Минусы: "More a problem of the San Francisco airport than the airlines, but getting through passport control/customs involved multiple VERY long, slow-moving lines with very few people working to process the crowds. Then, even though my bags were checked all the way through to my final destination, I had to pick up my luggage and re-check it, and go through security again--and that also seemed poorly organized and/or short-staffed."

Минусы: "Apart from the fact that this flight never goes to the gate and its always a bus that gets you there? This time they decided to check our passports and since we are not at the gate like normal people it has to be on the plane So you can imagine how slow it went I had a connecting flight... Luckily this time customs check up was very quiet"

Минусы: "Crew doesn't care, do absolute minimum Not helping with luggage, smiling and ignoring Not enough to drinks When the drink cart passed our row I pushed Call crew button No one even came!! When I asked for a diet coke stewardess showed me leftovers of sprite probably fished out of the garbage and said that's all they have left Really?! Not to mention that I have paid extra for choosing my sit and ended up sitting in the back in the worst sit with least possible legroom Thank you Lufthansa"

Минусы: "First time took Lufthansa airlines and it was my one of the worst experience. Hospitality is respected when customer is helped when they are in trouble not when they is happily boarded. I have to travel from Milan to San Francisco and I missed flight of my one leg ( milan to frankfurt) of journeyand I went for help and non of the Lufthansa staff at Milan airport helped me. Although my connecting flight was after 12hr they just gave me some random number which to call. I have never experience this in my 8yr of international travel."

Минусы: "Wife n I was seated separate; I was assuming management would understand we were travelling together, seat was cramp. Meals was served far apart in timing or closed to landing on last meal."

Минусы: "всегда раздражает процедура посадки, потому что невоспитанные люди лезут вперед В этот раз сотрудники попытались немного распределить пассажиров перед посадкой, чтобы был порядок За что им огромная благодарность. Наверно же есть какая то система типа раздельных очередей под плакатами с названиями рядов или еще что то.. ну иначе прям очень неприятная процедура посадки. Или посадка по очереди с кона самолета. Сами представляете, что это - зависнуть в проходе в ожидании нерасторопного пассажира, который не спеша запихивает багаж и достает свои вещи - все стоят, ждут пока он усядется... А вообще спасибо: летать, как правило приятно А! Франкфурт- Москва не очень приятно стюардессы , в отличие от Орландо-Франкфурт , прям не очень."

Плюсы: "Comfort and space comparing to my outbound flight from SFO to Munich. This plane was way older but at least there was a little bit of space. Flight attendants were very nice."
Минусы: "Entertainment units kept crushing, were not responsive. Difficult to use and enjoy. Frankfurt airport - total mess at the additional passport control before going to "Z" gates. Crowd of people, huge lines, all disorganized. The control for EU passengers was not so crowded but you couldn't see it at the end of the line, so even people who didn't have to were all crowding in the same cue. Horrible experience and I almost missed my flight because of this mess."

Минусы: "Business class - not enough Space for legs. Took hand lagage during boarding for check in , because of the weight. Rules are Rules, but for business class can give some tolerance. Near to my seat two suitcases were put on the floor..."

Минусы: "Requested for Hindu vegetarian meal by call and was informed we would receive on flight. Got on flight to find that Hindu vegetarian does not exist. Starved on both legs of flight. That is almost 24 hours. Plane should keep extras and customer service should give correct information."

Минусы: "К сожалению, оба раза, когда самолет вылетал из Франкфурта. вылет задерживался на значительное время: на 2 часа вылет Франкфурт-Лос-Анджелес 22.12.2017 и на 40 минут задержался вылет рейса Франкурт-СПб 13.01.2018"

Плюсы: "Excellent flight attendant in charge of us."
Минусы: "The galley where the snacks were looked more like a very dirty restaurant kitchen. It was absolutely gross with dirty forks, dirty glasses, overall grimy and dirty."

Минусы: "My flight schedule changed after I bought the ticket, which resulted in paying for the hotel for the extra night and using one more PTO day."

Минусы: "Плохая организация регистрации на рейс ( и это при электронной регистрации). Хамство сотрудников в аэропорту Денвера. Потеря багажа. Задержка вылета на 3 часа"

Плюсы: "Обслуживание в самолете - хорошее. Профессиональные стюарды. Все время улыбаются, доброжелательно отвечают на все вопросы. Питание в 10 часовом рейсе было замечательным. все быстро раздавали и убирали. Еда была вкусной. Пилоты тоже очень профессиональные рейс прошел без толчков. спокойно . Спать было комфортно. Никаких очередей в туалет не было. В самолете все было замечательно."
Минусы: "Сотрудники в аэропортах. На регистрацию в аэропорт Денвера мы приехали за три часа. На паспортный контроль попали за 30 минут!!!! Очередь огромная, сотрудники бегают от стойки к стойке. Разговаривают очень грубо, что само по себе для Америки непривычно. Одного пассажира обслуживают в среднем 20 минут(!!!) То забирают багаж, то возвращают багаж - отвлекаются на возврат сразу все. Рейс задержали на полтора часа. Об этом мы узнали на стойке регистрации. На стыковочный рейс мы опоздали, поэтому попросили сотрудников сразу определить наши дальнейшие действия. Парень на стойке очень в грубой форме сказал - прилетите в Мюнхен, там подойдете в сервис. Когда прилетели в Мюнхен оказалось, что сервис не работает. Бегали по всему аэропорту. Потом подождали на одном из рейсов Люфтганзы не закончилась регистрация. Попросили сотрудника ( по английски не говорит, только по немецки!!!!) решить наш вопрос. Она с кем-то созвонилась нас отправили на другой рейс в другой терминал на поезде и автобусе (Просили ведь сопровождение в Денвере- нам грубо отказали). В итоге багаж - потеряли. Отправили во Франкфурт вместо Москвы!!! Багаж ждали три дня."

Плюсы: "Lufthansa arranged for pickup with a van upon disembarking from my late flight from Pisa and took me through a special passport and security checkpoint so that I was able to catch my MUC-SFO flight. Flight departed late, but pilot made up all tge lost time in flight. Crew was professional, very polite and efficient."

Минусы: "Would have been great if the airlines "flying" had actually been Lufthansa! My electronic ticket said Lufthansa, check in at Lufthansa, but when I got there and tried to check-in...NOT Lufthansa! It was United. I deliberately went out of my way to NOT book with United when placing my reservation. Personal reasons. Won't book this way ever again."

Минусы: "Не очень удобные кресла в эконом классе, слишком близко друг к другу, глаза близко к экрану и голова почему-то неестественно наклоняется вперёд."

Минусы: "The head flight attendant was very brusque with clients/passengers - demanding we hand back trays in a certain way, demanding people do not get up and stand during a 3 hour flight. At one point she rushed along the aisle to the front of the plain, bumping and hurting my shoulder, but did not bother to apologize. In front of me, was a mother with a child with special needs. The mother had to stand up for some time to have the child curl up and lie in a comfortable position - the attendant rudely commanded her to sit down and strap the child to the seat, instead of finding out how they could help. She could have achieved it with a better attitude and choice of words. The crew did not bother beyond the bare minimum - it was painful to observe."

Плюсы: "Lufthansa service is always incredible. Food is better than most other carriers and so is entertainment. Had a delay due to incoming flights, but staff made sure we had plenty of water and snacks while on the tarmac."

Плюсы: "the gate crew didn't care if there was chaos. no interaction with waiting passengers beyond those that queued up with direct questions. i'd liken the experience to herding cattle. customer service skills haven't been taught to these folks yet. if i were basing my lufthansa experience on this alone, i'd go out of my way to fly another airline next time. on the other hand, the people staffing the flight were extremely kind, professional, pleasant, personable. a much improved experience. so much so that i mentioned it to a few people once i got home. this crew has received more training on how to provide excellent service than the gate folks in frankfurt."
Минусы: "gate crew's attitude. it feels as though they are disdainful of the traveller. customer service matters. manage the boarding process. be nice about it."

Плюсы: "The entertainment options were great, and the food was better than many airline meals I've had before."
Минусы: "I am Star Alliance Gold and I didn't like that it wasn't possible to select an economy plus seat upon check in, and I wasn't upgraded even though there were seats available. I picked this airline specifically because of it's star alliance membership but it didn't get my anything."

Плюсы: "The entertainment touch screen system is so much easier to use than the planes that have the remote controls. Having all of the toilets downstairs was nice. It was less noisy and had a little space to stretch. The crew was very friendly and helpful."
Минусы: "Even though I was sitting on the left side aisle seat (2-seat section), it was very cramped. I'm only 5'2" and my legs were very uncomfortable. Along with less leg room than other airlines, it felt like the seat itself was narrower too. The food quality control was disappointing. The meal I had on the first leg of my flight (Mumbai-Munich), I noticed that it expired by about 2 weeks. And the complimentary water bottles also had a past expiration date (although, I don't know how water expires). Generally speaking, I think all of the meals I ate on Lufthansa were subpar compared to the many Asian airlines I've used for overseas flights. Quality could be improved and I think there's a missed opportunity to incorporate meal options correlated to the airline or international destinations (German airline, why not bratwurst? Pretzel bread?)"

Плюсы: "The very gracious crew kept coming by with drinks and snacks, as well as lunch and dinner (in coach).The entertainment system is top notch, with a few dozen movies, lots of TV shows and more, with screens for each seat. The only complaint is that there's not much space between seats, so that when the person in front of you leans back, things can get tight. On the plus side, the bathrooms are downstairs (down a short staircase) and there's plenty of waiting room, so you don't get the usual congestion. Overall, a wonderful experience for an intercontinental flight."

Минусы: "My reservation was cancelled - I found it at DME.. An email, which Lufthansa Moscow promised to send me, had never come. My carry on, while weighted 7 kg, and was, I believe of standard size was not approved. Again, there was an unnecessary on my mind, second TSA-like check at FRA. Lufthansa could just bring me by bus to the departure gates. I believe that police officers with openly carried machine guns INSIDE of TSA secured zone at FRA is too much (though I am not a law enforcement person)."

Минусы: "- Delay > 2 hours and no info at gate at the time of planned boarding - unfriendly ground staff and chaotic check in - old 747, "entertainment 1970s standard - crew looked unkempt (like just out of bed), unfriendly to downright rude, my 85 year old mum was ignored repeatedly and ended up not getting enough fluids as a result - 1/8 crew members managed a smile on occasion - rushed meal "service", all they wanted was to disappear to sleep - crammed spaces - while it was announced "we have three different meal choices, you will have at least two choices" - ummm, no, it was pasta. Period. To be fair the pasta turned out ok. The morning dry ham and cheese bun was not, especially without any drink."

Минусы: "I had a short transit time in Munich (40 minutes). Munich website promises that this is possible and that gates are close to each other and if the first flight is late, then someone will help you to your next flight. My first flight was about 10 mins late. Although assistance was provided to people connecting to some of the other flights, no-one helped me with my connection. I asked two ground staff and was just told to make my own way to the next gate, which was not close. It was in a different terminal! After literally running through two terminals, I did not make it to the gate in time and had to wait for the following flight which got me home over three hours late. Lufthansa did give me a five euro meal voucher though (which doesn't buy very much in an airport cafe)."
