They didn't collect garbage before landing. Not only did we have to take our bags off the plane, we had to carry our garbage (drink cups/food served) to the front of the plane to throw out."

Passengers were divided in 5 lanes, depending on their seating area withing the plane (for a more efficient boarding, I presume) but, by the time we all got to the actual aircraft, we formed another queue in the boarding bridge so it didn't feel like any time was saved or anything."

DFW to MN, St Paul to Schipole, Amsterdam to final destination, Glasgow. So he ends up having to pay for another Lyft back to our apartment in Dallas, then another additional one for the 12 noon flight the next morning. If he didn't have family living in Dallas, he would've incurred a hotel fee too."

So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."

I had to wait for a small plane coming from Edinburgh then wait for it to be emptied of passengers and cleaned. This meant we were over 2 hours late into Istanbul. No explanation or apology. I then missed my next flight in Istanbul and had to purchase another ticket. I cannot believe that air passengers are treated in this way!!! I will follow this up with KLM when I go home from my holiday."

Whether it's her personal opinion or KLM's policy, it's unreasonable to think that a 3 years old child could or should hold her pipi over 20 minutes, while they slowly and inefficiently trying to give out food. Several parents were there with the request to let us through to the toilet with small children and she smiled in our face and said "no, we will finish first and than you can go". She might be not fit for the job anymore, but KLM can't afford this kind of treatment."
Минусы: "KLM had bumped us to a later flight for no reason and again we had to call with a long wait to get our original connection restored, However, we did not get boarding passes during checking in Europe and thus had to go outside security in Detroit to the main check-in gate and wait 30 minutes to get the error resolved. Then it was back thorough security and a rush to the gate to get there in time to board. Lost our original seat assignment and wound up in the last row at the tail of the plane. Extremely poor coordination between KLM and Delta who operated the flight."

The airplane seems to be 30 years behind time. Crew was unfriendly and smiling faces are not part of the uniform."

Минусы: "We were rebooked, which understandably happens for any number of reasons. However, we were not informed or asked about our preference until our luggage was checked through! The staff especially in Chicago where we began this awful experience couldn't care less about our situation. Then AIr France lost our luggage and provided no help in locating them. We had to rely on folks who had friends working in Zagreb Airport to locate them. Air France is incompetent, insensitive and unprofessional. If you have an important trip avoid Air France - they treat you like captives not customers."

Минусы: "My only problem was that there wasn't any air flow and until someone told them how hot they think it is, it was a very sweaty situation. I couldn't sleep because of how hot it was and I didn't think to tell the crew because I didn't know they would care."
