Минусы: "I was taken by surprise that I could not take my SLR camera on board as carry-on luggage and had to check it (they were doing this to everyone, not just me and it covered laptops, kindles, cameras, etc - everything electronic except phones). This was not done on the flight into Dubai. Also irritating was when I got to Boston, an Emirates guy cut open the packing envelope open and in the process, accidentally sliced the camera neck strap. He was, however, very apologetic and eagerly got me the info needed to submit a claim to Emirates."

But, they did not give the seat together. Also, our connection time was 2 hours for the next flight. To receive the baggage in the port of entry, it took more than 1 hour 15 mins in the carousel. After that we had to clear customs, change terminal and clear security in 45 mins to catch the next flight. It was really tough for us. They could have handled the baggage little efficiently."

I tried to get to the back, the crew dint even move to help us with anything. They sat together and were talking and dint even care to move. I am quite tall and having the person in front of me recline is uncomfortable at all times, but while eating, there just isn't very much elbow room. Also the temperature in the cabin is really too cold. The entertainment system uses a two-prong plug for the headset, which requires you to bring an adapter if you want to use your own noise-blocking headset or headphones."

They were very loud, often banging into other passenger's seats, and leaving their stuff in the aisle where people were tripping over things as they walked by. They were really inconsiderate of other passengers - many of whom were trying to sleep on a 13-hour flight. It would have been nice if the crew would have told them to be quieter and more respectful of other passengers."

When the passenger stated she cannot go without help, the flight attendant helped her out and to a bus. She almost fell while getting on to the bus. Assistance was requested because of her poor eye sight on the left eye and issues with mobility because of that. Although I'm glad nothing bad happened, denial of assistance and making her feel concerned and speak for herself for someone to help could have been avoided if Emirates could keep their promised support. Very disappointed."

Once arrived in Boston, took 1hr before luggage started unloading, and then to find out our 4 bags didn't come at all. Staff on ground not courteous, wouldn't send bags to home town in Raleigh. Had to wait till afternoon to get the bags and then fly to final destination. Entertainment system very bad, audio/video stop and go, stop and go- really terrible (though notice some people's screens were working fine)."

First flight came in a few mixtures late, but then we had to wait our long turn to deplane, get on bus and wait for it to fill up with all slower passengers, drive to terminal, make it through passport control, take train to other terminal, and run 20 gates down where they were looking for us. We made it with 1 minute to spare from takeoff. They knew our bags were connecting and they made it. If they could've expedited our passage with a club car it would have been excellent."

He said he made sure he kept the climate control at 20c the whole time on the plane. You hear all these animal horror stories but this went above and beyond."

Плюсы: "The most difficult problem I have to deal with in airline transportation occurs when the fellow traveler in the seat in front of me decides to drop their seat back into my lap. The seats are so close together that when the seat in front of you is all the way back the following happens: 1. You can no longer view the monitor on the seat back. 2. You cannot eat or write from your tray top. 3. You have great difficulty getting out of your seat. 4. You have great difficulty keeping from severely injuring the occupant of that seat. The way to deal with this is to get out of your seat. Stand in front of the offending passenger and as politely as you can as him or her to refrain from dropping the seat back so far. But the airline should not put you in this situation."

From Chicago I used my ticket and say SWISS staff what my son will have trip only from Moscow. I paid for 2 tickets around $1700. Today when we should have trip back to USA, SWISS company said what ticket for my son do not exsist. And I spent for new ticket 220000 rubles about $3600. Nobody in SWISS company do not said me what my tocket for son canceled. I am shoked !!!"

It looked to me like Swiss Air knew we were running close as the flight rarely (if ever) leaves on time. It was stressful for us and for the 30+ others who were still in line in immigration when the flight time passed. It turned out to not be a problem but the published times are unrealistic. Seats were tight and comfort in cattle class is NON Existent sleep on an 8 hour flight was not even possible."

I wasn't sure if it was going to make it with me to the final destination. But it did! The head rest blew me away just as i sat. I love to know I can fall asleep and not have neck problems. And everything from the movies to the service to the food was great! My first international yet BEST experience in economy class was all worth it!"

When at the end of the flight, the issue was pointed out to the captain and supervising flight attendant, both became aggressively defensive to the point of being rude."

Crumbs and food particles on the seats/crevices from the earlier flight"

Older person male at desk was rude, insulting and sarcastic. This did not happen on Boston end. The person was there with wheelchair at the Boston gate and assisted us. Not in Zurich. What about handicap travel? Swiss????"

Since I had passed through passport control, I didn't think I would need to go through again just before boarding. I was in line, ready to have my boarding pass scanned when I was told I needed to have my passport checked! I had to step out of line, go back and get my passport checked, then go back in line to board! I could not get an assigned seat until I got to Zurich. I needed an aisle seat (I had a bladder infection and would need to use the toilet often). It was left up to me to negotiate with my neighbor to switch seats--- the crew would not help at all. I was cramped in my seat. The man in front of me put his chair too far back; I was difficult to work on my laptop with so little room between me and the table. The snack was horrible---uncooked, tasteless calzone and ice cream."

It was obvious that we could not fly in the storm, but we were not informed about the likely departure time. The reason I gave a poor ranking is that my suitcase/pack must have been left out in the downpour on the top of the pile so all of my clothes were extremely wet when I reached Boston. The bag itself was wet so it was not a case of something leaking in the bag. I have had to wash all of the clothes and iron them."

Which was probably because their SWISS flight was late. Why are all SWISS flights running late??? There was no coffee or tea on the flight because there was a problem with the electrical system of the hot water machines. That could have been fixed before we left.... The entertainment system is clunky, and it didn't help that it had to be rebooted (took 20 minutes !?!?) in the middle of the flight to deal with some 'isssues'. The big boxes with the entertainment system underneath the seats are not fun either, they really cut into legroom. In general, it seems this plane is in need of a bit of an overhaul and maintenance. And whatever happened to Swiss punctuality? I'm not used to SWISS flights being late. You can do much better than that, you used to!"

"The flight yesterday on 7/14/2011 was canceled. We haven’t received any notifications of the cancellation. My elderly mom had to sit in the excruciatingly hot Domodedovo airport, without any working conditioners with the temperature inside of the airport nearing 30 C, for more than 24 hours. She was afraid to get up to go to the bathroom, because she was afraid she will loose her sit at the airport. After my mom was informed that her flight was canceled, she asked, what she supposed to do now and where she should go, where would she sleep. She was told by Lufthansa representatives that it is non of their business and she can do whatever she wants. No food vouchers, nor hotel accommodations were offered to my elderly mom. My mom had to pay extra money and get another COVID test because the one she had was expiring on 7/14/2021. Nobody even cares that she has been vaccinated here in USA and has her vaccinations voutcher with her. It is horrendous, what is happening right now!!!!!! Not only my mom became a victim of shooting at her Kingsooper’s store in USA, she couldn’t even return back home to USA in a comfortable, human way after the trip that where supposed to take my mom’s mind off of the shooting at her store. Instead it is causing now enormous anxiety and fear. I am praying that tomorrow she will return back home to USA and non of her flights will be canceled again!"

Airplane food is always bad...who cares. But being trapped in uncomfortable seats with no room to shift your position for a six plus hour flight is inhumane! My son is 6'2" and his knees were literally against the back of the chair in front of him, luckily my daughter was in that seat so she didn't recline it on his knees. My back was killing me in the first hour (I'm only 5'2") my 13 year old daughter complained that her back was killing her by the end of the flight. I've never flown Lufthansa before and will never again!"

Разговаривают очень грубо, что само по себе для Америки непривычно. Одного пассажира обслуживают в среднем 20 минут(!!!) То забирают багаж, то возвращают багаж - отвлекаются на возврат сразу все. Рейс задержали на полтора часа. Об этом мы узнали на стойке регистрации. На стыковочный рейс мы опоздали, поэтому попросили сотрудников сразу определить наши дальнейшие действия. Парень на стойке очень в грубой форме сказал - прилетите в Мюнхен, там подойдете в сервис. Когда прилетели в Мюнхен оказалось, что сервис не работает. Бегали по всему аэропорту. Потом подождали на одном из рейсов Люфтганзы не закончилась регистрация. Попросили сотрудника ( по английски не говорит, только по немецки!!!!) решить наш вопрос. Она с кем-то созвонилась нас отправили на другой рейс в другой терминал на поезде и автобусе (Просили ведь сопровождение в Денвере- нам грубо отказали). В итоге багаж - потеряли. Отправили во Франкфурт вместо Москвы!!! Багаж ждали три дня."

My companion did use hers, and mine (also a first in many decades). Part of the bumpiness could have been due to a weather system but the plane's movement was jerky when taxiing in Boston. BOS-MUC used to be one of my favorite routes back when it was served by the A360. The new A350 is nothing special except for the entertainment system. Ironically the large screen seemed overwhelming due to the dismal distance to the seat in front."

At one point she rushed along the aisle to the front of the plain, bumping and hurting my shoulder, but did not bother to apologize. In front of me, was a mother with a child with special needs. The mother had to stand up for some time to have the child curl up and lie in a comfortable position - the attendant rudely commanded her to sit down and strap the child to the seat, instead of finding out how they could help. She could have achieved it with a better attitude and choice of words. The crew did not bother beyond the bare minimum - it was painful to observe."

Check Emirates or other similar fare bracket airlines to understand the gravity of Lufthansa food problem. If one reason I had to choose to drop Lufthansa from my future consideration then that would be worst food and drinks. I would strongly recommend that they should assign people who need additional time to board at the back of the plane. It will help them to go back of the plane faster and avoid gridlock in the middle. Another advantage is it will help other passengers leave plane faster at the end of the ride. Boarding process will be come significantly faster by filling the plane from back to front by loading passanger with children and who needs time at the first loading area at the back of the plane. Seat upholstery could have been better for such a long flight. I have "asnahtfuL" permanently embossed on my butt. 747 is an aging craft and this plane had disappointing response to turbulence."

Lufthansa could just bring me by bus to the departure gates. I believe that police officers with openly carried machine guns INSIDE of TSA secured zone at FRA is too much (though I am not a law enforcement person)."

The crew is attentive, offers water or juice repeatedly, gives you a warm moist handcloth before the mealservice to clean your hands. Check-in in FRa can be tedious becaiuse of long lines."
Минусы: "LH experienced several strikes in the last two years or so. Once I had to stay an extra day, this time I had to cut a family visit a day short. While they handled the rebooking in both cases quite efficiently, not everyone might have the flexibility to change days so easily. It is also disappointing when one has to give up on a planned activity to make it back home on time. Movie selection could be updated and I miss having an actual newspaper or magazine to read on the long flight. Will have to pack my own oin the future."

The woman behind me gave me the local phone number for Austrian airlines and I was able to get on a flight to US leaving in 30 minutes. I managed to make it, and would not have had I waited another hour in line. Why no surge of staff to help? All 3 help numbers on my Lufthansa e-mail receipt could not help. Horrible experience."

The entertainment system is a bit clumsy and has odd choices. SAS planes are better in that department for example."

Плюсы: "The flight was very pleasant, with great service. The in-flight entertainment selection was good, food was tasty. The day we flew, this flight was maybe half-full in coach, which may not be great for BA, but fantastic for leg room! The attendants were lovely, and I particularly enjoyed the continuous water service through the flight, which kept me nicely hydrated. The ice-cream mid-way through movietime was a welcome treat!"

Минусы: "The main meal was a mess. They ran out of the pasta option way too early. Then the tray was covered in useless extras - such as salad dressing (unlabelled, but that's what it looked like) and lime pickle, when the starter was a potato salad that already had a sauce and the main was pasta with tomato sauce and broccoli. They should cut out the extras and spend the savings on better starters and mains."

Boarding process completely baroque: With 6 different priority statuses, should we be in this line or that if we have x status, but are flying this class. Comically absurd."

Logging in 24 hours ahead to get a seat was incredibly inconvenient--I happened to be in a museum and without WiFi. (It could have been in the middle of the night or on a connecting plane.) I then had trouble entering all the required data and was finally told I had to wait 24 hours to try again-- that made no sense because I had to be on my flight 24 hours later. As a senior citizen who struggles with using the internet, it is particularly difficult. PLEASE let people choose a seat when making a reservation WITHOUT charging extra."

Минусы: "Usually I am moderately impressed with British Airways food, but not this time. The pasta alfredo was acceptable, but there was no vegetable aside from an overly cream-laden slaw and there were no recognizable greens in there. Maybe onion and celery. The bread roll was dense and dry."

Минусы: "No leg room and as usual I had an uncomfortable 6 hours with my legs jammed against the seat in front. Having spent $900 on the flights I am not going to pay another $81 for the 'upgrade'. Also, even as a slim person, the seats are crammed together so we all knock elbows and I am disappointed that all the airlines continue to reduce space. Arrival at Logan, Boston was a nightmare...2 hours to get through passport control, customs and baggage pick up. Don't fly into Boston at 9pm Saturday night! I flew outbound with AerLingus and the leg room was better so I will look to fly with them next time."

We are a party of 5 with US and Canadian passports and Green cards which understandably the check-in process is not "standard." They should be more alert of the situation and help us along with the check-in process more appropriately instead of directly some of us one way and others another way and when pressed, they gave very unsatisfactory answers."

Минусы: "Announcement was made to all passengers inn rows 20-40 or so to line up, which we did. Then, we were told only priority passengers were to be boarding. Priority passengers asked where their linne was, and a BA crew member snappishly answered "where the sign says Priority". The sign wasn't able to be seen, and these passengers shouldn't have been faulted for BA's ineptness. After being checked in, I asked an another BA agent where to go. Upon arriving at the aircraft, I was rather frostily told "you're onn the wrong level" and pointed to the stairs. I let them know that I was on the 2nd level due to the direction of the BA staff. My seat space was reduced to a mere 12" when the passenger in front of me abruptly reclined his seat all the way back."

Минусы: "I had with my son 2 business class centered seats at last row no22 ,which were the reverse side of the regular flights facing the wall for 7 hours . The chairs were quiet uncomfortable & couldn't be classified as business class . If i knew this earlier I would have changed to another airline or at least sat economy facing the regular direction ."
Плюсы: "Luckily I got upgraded from an economy seat to a premium economy and what a difference in the experience! I got immediately greeted by a flight attendant and got offered a glass of water (real glass) followed by a warm towel. The seats were wider and had more leg room than in economy and reclined more. The food was delicious and served with real silverware. Complimentary blanket, a pillow, socks, toothpaste, toothbrush, ear plugs and a sleep mask ensured that I got a good few hours of sleep. I was definitely much more rested than I would have been in an economy seat and very grateful for the upgrade!"
Минусы: "Since 1st flight was extremely delayed due to stupidity of staff unable to get head count of passengers, the BA system rebooked my 2nd flight which should hve not happened because I made it to my original flight prior to gate closing AND that flight was delayed anyways so I made it in plenty of time to make it yet my seat was taken from me and then boarding started. And I have to state WHY this BA flight was delayed - because they "had problem getting the catering on board" thus missed runway time. Anyways, since I was rebooked I went to my new gate, waited many hours to hve another issue, where they couldnt find my new seat in system and changed, and again flight was delayed this time due to having a flat tire... Common BA, seems your quality dropped 99%."
